The full interview between Trump and George Stepanopolous is set to air Sunday night on ABC and clips of it are being steadily released. It looks to be every bit as bonkers as the Wall Street Journal interview Trump did shortly after talking office, which was the first time he revealed the plummet-less depth of his ignorance about government. This go round, it looks like the theme will be stupendous arrogance and an unparalleled ability to lie through his teeth.
“Number one, I was never going to fire Mueller. I never suggested firing Mueller.”
“That’s not what [the special counsel] says,” [Stephanopolous]
“I don’t care what he says,” [Trump, with a nasty tone]
“Why would he [McGahn] lie under oath?” [Stephanopoulos]
“Because he wanted to make himself look like a good person. Number one, I didn’t. He wasn’t fired. But more importantly, Article II [of the Constitution] allows me to do whatever I want. Article II would have allowed me to fire him.”
Then in classic autocratic style, Trump mentioned that maybe his followers would “demand” that he not leave office in 2024.
…..news is that at the end of 6 years, after America has been made GREAT again and I leave the beautiful White House (do you think the people would demand that I stay longer? KEEP AMERICA GREAT), both of these horrible papers will quickly go out of business & be forever gone!

That’s his fantasy, that he rules forever and without any oversight whatsoever, even from a newspaper. The FBI Director is “wrong,” he “doesn’t care” what the Special Counsel said, everybody is a cheat and a liar, except for King Donald. Right.

Ever since Gingrich, the Republican propaganda machine has been working overtime to demonize anything Democrat or Progressive. That systematic indoctrination has largely worked on the 40% of U.S. voters who lead low information lives.
This is exactly correct. Gingrich had studies done on words to use to not just demonize but dehumanize your political opponents and talk about them as if they were evil, depraved & were out to do harm to anyone who didn’t support them. Too many on our side don’t get this & are still cowering when one of us says something a little to strong for their taste. Remember all the handwringing when Hillary said that half of Trump’s supporters were “deplorables,” a low figure by any estimate. People were like ‘OMG she just lost the race.” That didn’t cost her any votes.
As we all hopefully remember, tRump stated outright he could do murder and bring down the government and still be elected and never held accountable. He also showed what a harassing bully that wants to intimidate women as shown by his disrespectful and “above the law” behavior at his speeches and in debates with H Clinton. I’m with you 100%. What I can tell you from a brief joust on Twitter the other day with a Trumpite, they’re not looking at the same facts you and I are. And clearly, they don’t have the same moral system. The “2nd Amendment grandma” I spoke to just told me I listened to fake news. She avoided the difficult questions, like should a woman be forced to birth a fetus with no skull” unaddressed. This is who they are. They’re stupid and they’re nuts and Fox News has brainwashed them — and is laughing all the way to the bank. That’s what I see.

He just might claim the vote was rigged when he loses and refuse to leave.

I remember an old movie called something like “Man without a country”. A traitor was sentenced to sail on a small ship for the rest of his life, never to set foot on land again, and never to speak to anyone again. Sounds like an appropriate punishment for Twitler!
I remember that one – I think I read it in school. He said in court that he never wanted to hear of the US again, so they sentenced him that way – and I think they pulled his citizenship, though I don’t think that’s possible for birthright citizens.
