It’s well known that Fred Trump, Donald Trump’s father, suffered from dementia and he didn’t want to deal with that issue either. Fred used to go to the office as usual and people would put papers in front of him to sign — blank sheets, because at that point Fred was too far gone to know the difference. Now we see Donald Trump exhibiting the same characteristics as his father but he’s in charge of the nuclear codes. Here’s a mashup of some of Trump’s greatest (worse?) hits.
Couple these images with the non stop attacks that Trump makes of the press, most especially female members of the press. He is constantly calling some woman “stupid” to her face, or telling her she’s a “horrible reporter.” Then he refers to whatever outlet the person who has offended him works for as “fake news.”
That’s Trump being Trump, we are told. But the plain fact is that Trump being Trump is Trump being deranged. He is visibly worse since 2015 when he first came on the political scene. That makes perfect sense. Dementia is a progressive and pernicious ailment. It never gets better, only worse.
The problem remains: what social purpose does it serve to sanewash and normalize Trump’s misbehavior? The answer is none.

No social purpose perhaps but it definitely serves a political purpose for those shadowy characters behind the scenes, Stephen Miller & Russell Vought, who are using Trump to distract from their destruction of our government.
