The importance of having the respect of one’s peers and one’s subordinates cannot be overstated. It is virtually impossible, and certainly unfulfilling, to run an organization where the rank and file members of said organization believe that the boss is an idiot. Yet this is precisely what we deal with routinely in the Trump administration. Pete Hegseth probably still holds the title for Least Respected And Most Despised Boss but coming up strong behind him is none other than Keystone Kash Patel, according to somebody who worked there.
A former special agent has revealed a brutal new nickname that FBI agents call their high-flying director, Kash Patel, behind his back.
“This is a nickname that I’ve heard that he’s being called, from agents in the FBI,” said former FBI Senior Executive Christopher O’Leary on MSNOW’s The Weekend Saturday. “He’s the Make-a-Wish director.”
The nickname is inspired by the “Make-a-Wish” foundation, a charity that gives sick children dream experiences like meeting their favorite celebrity or attending special events.
O’Leary demonstrated how Patel, 45, has used his privileges as FBI director to seemingly do whatever he wants in his personal life.
The former FBI counterterrorism executive pointed to the copious personal flights Kash has taken on the FBI’s jet for his own entertainment. These have included using the $60 million jet to fly to UFC matches, hockey games, professional wrestling events, and hunting trips, among others.
And this is all on the taxpayer’s nickel. And of course it will not surprise you to learn that Patel was always critical of former FBI directors who used the FBI plane, the article goes on to state. Do as I say, not as I do. Trump’s MAGA nominees are all for saving the taxpayer billions until it comes time for them to have a good time and impress people and then that value flies right out the window.
And of course Patel is remembered for his famous line last September, when he said before Congress that there was “no evidence” that disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women to anyone other than himself. Puh-leeze, Kash. Puh-leeze.
It will be interesting to see if Patel lasts. I think Trump probably would prefer to get rid of him and I think that Trump would probably prefer getting rid of Pete Hegseth as well. But what will stay his hand is the fact that Trump doesn’t want to make himself look bad. So for the moment we’re stuck with these two.

The problem with replacing him is that they could find someone even less competent.
Hard as it is to believe in the mere possibility.
