Small world, isn’t it? And interesting how the political lines begin to divurge and in the damnedest of places, too, isn’t it? As you’ve heard by now, Donald Trump went over to Walter Reed for his “six month annual exam” (yes, I know it’s an oxymoron, look at who I’m quoting) and in that now-vaunted exam, was an order for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging to take place. Of what? And to what end? Ah, constant reader, those are the right questions. If only we had some answers. And the first answer is being asked for by a man with an interesting medical pedigree, shall we say? But before we go there, Trump wants you to know this was the bestest and bigliest of MRI exams, the machine all but kissed him it was so happy to roll its cylinders and do its thing.
With tears in their eyes, the drs said “sir, in the history of people receiving MRIs, yours is the most accurate, clear, concise, perfect, top notch, healthiest, cleanest, most flawless that we’ve ever seen. You have the most perfect organ and skeletal form.” They wept openly🙄🙄

Do MRI machines blush? I guess this one did and then it asked Trump for his autograph and then Trump obliged and began to gyrate to the tune of YMCA. Now the MRI is starstruck and won’t perform a diagnostic on anybody else. Sigh.
Where were we? Oh yes, Dick CHENEY! Let’s go back and talk about Dick Cheney and no, he didn’t blow anybody’s face off this week. At least not that we know of. Cheney had a cardiologist and that man’s name is Dr. Jonathan Reiner. And the good doctor says that there are reasons that Trump was asked to have an MRI done and those reasons should be disclosed to the American people. The hell you say. Ya think?
“Typically, they’re prompted by symptoms,” Reiner said of MRIs. “They can be neurologic symptoms that prompt an MRI. They could be back pain that prompts an MRI. There can be issues with the heart that would prompt an MRI. And for those reasons, the public should really be told, you know, why did the president undergo the test, what consultants he saw, and what was the result of the testing?”
Reiner was the cardiologist to former Vice President Dick Cheney, who suffers from extensive heart issues, and is currently a professor at George Washington University in the nation’s capital.

The last official report on Trump’s health came in a single-page memo after his October 10 visit to Walter Reed Medical Center. The memo stated Trump was in “excellent overall health” and that he had undergone “advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventative health assessments.”
Asked what “advanced imaging” Trump was subjected to this month, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 28, blew off the question and asserted it was part of a routine health check.
Reiner told CNN that an MRI is never part of a routine check-up.
“An MRI is never part of a routine evaluation, whether you’re president of the United States or whether you’re just a civilian,” he said.
Reiner said the “big question” is why Trump was asked to have an MRI completed, since some symptom—or symptoms—must have raised a red flag.
Trump has sported cankles, bruised hands, and a droopy face at various points this year, each of which has raised questions about his physical well-being. Those are in addition to increasing memory lapses, his struggles with stairs, and his inability to walk in a straight line at times.
The White House often avoids addressing Trump’s health concerns. However, it did announce in July that the president suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a common circulatory condition where veins in the legs have trouble sending blood back to the heart.
We won’t even ask about sending blood back to his brain. We’ll just let that comment float off into thin air, a dissipating thought bubble, a digital dirigible, as it were. But we can speculate, right? And I think Trump’s venous insufficiency is the most likely reason for an MRI. It’s the most obvious physical symptom, (the severe edema) next to his equally severe hand bruises, so I’d say that that is what begged the issue.
“As for the bruising,” he said, “there are a lot of things that can do that. And you know, the most common etiology for bruising in the back of a 79-year-old person’s hand is medications. And the typical medication that causes that would be a blood thinner.”
Not to disagree with the doctor but I have back of hand bruising and it’s not from blood thinner at all. It’s from having to use the veins in my hand for any kind of IV or infusions that I may need because the elbow veins are long since collapsed. Point being, any responsible doctor will state the obvious but where Trump is concerned, the first rule of business is to look outside the box. Because even if his doctors were the most honest practitioners in the field, the patient himself is a pathological liar and he has every reason to keep the true condition of things hidden.
He continued, “I mean, I see this every week when I see patients. Blood thinners, particularly in the elderly, cause bruising on the back of the hands, but we’ve not been told that the president takes that. People take blood thinners for a variety of reasons. You can take it if you had a pulmonary embolism in the past. You can take it if you have a clot in your leg, a DVT [deep vein thrombosis], and you can take a blood thinner if you have atrial fibrillation.”
Reiner speculated that the symptom that led to doctors ordering an MRI for Trump may also be why he takes blood thinners.
“People who take blood thinners for atrial fibrillation typically are on them indefinitely, and the side effects of medications like that are bruising,” he said. “But why he would have an MRI depends on the underlying reason for either that medication or other undisclosed medical problems. It is just as important why he had the test as what the test showed.”
“Undisclosed medical problems.” Bingo.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment in response to Reiner’s remarks.
No, and do not expect that status to change. We are going to be lied to and gaslighted every minute that this man is in office and then some. The only people in Washington who might have a clear picture of what is really going on with Trump and how long our country is going to be held hostage by him and his neuroses, are M.D.s who have no intention of saying a word
And if Trump were a private citizen, that would be acceptable. He is not and it is not. So what’s the next move on the chessboard? I’d say calendar mid-April because that’s going to be Trump’s next “six month annual exam” and we could and should know more.
