The No Kings protest is set for a few days from now and it is well established that the idea fueling the event is the separation between church and state and the idea that we are a constitutional democracy and a republic, not a monarchy — a doctrine which is well established in our Constitution and is one of the cornerstones of our democracy. But that’s not what’s on for Saturday according to Moses Mikey. No, it’s a Hate America rally.

Now what is comical about this is that none other than Dwight D. Eisenhower was a member of Antifa, insofar as anybody can be a “member” of a group which is mainly a belief system and not an actual political party, religion, or anything of a truly organized nature.
Eisenhower did not actually “found” Antifa. It was founded in the 1930’s. But if anybody was pro-democracy and anti-fascism, it was indeed Eisenhower. There is a card that supposedly shows Eisenhower as a card-carrying member but Snopes has labeled that as false. That’s because Antifa is an ideology more than an actual group. So it’s unlikely Eisenhower was ever the “president” of such a loosely organized group but again, in terms of ideology, nobody was more anti-fascism than Eisenhower.
That’s what Johnson and Trump and all of them don’t want you to know. They want you to believe that Antifa is an organized group of thugs here to burn America to the ground — like they have done with Portland, if you listen to Trump. And if you look out the window in Portland, what you see is a giant bunny dancing with a giant frog. Ain’t a whole lot of violence in dancing (but then some religions do ban it because they think it’s too close to sex. Or maybe they ban sex because it’s too close to dancing. I’m unclear but I’m sure Mikey knows.)
Mike Johnson is looking so flushed because he’s desperate. That is the look of abject despair that you see, because he knows he can’t sell this B.S. to America the way he wishes he could. He knows he’s got to swear in Adelita Grijalva and he knows that this weekend’s turnout is going to be one bitch kitty of a nationwide demonstration. He knows he’s losing ground.
And he knows that the ACA subsidies will stay in place because the Republicans have nothing to replace Obamacare with and they never have — and that will be a gigantic Democratic win. So Mikey’s watching it all unfold. And he is not having a good time.
