What you’re about to read would be dismissed as cutting edge paranoia, if not out and out delusion, in any other day and age. But I’m going to go ahead and share it because the source is credible and he has been right before about a lot of things. Lev Parnas just published a newsletter and in it he opines that Donald Trump didn’t want to just have a meeting with the generals. No, he had said meeting convened by Pete Hegseth for the purpose of true Orwellian surveillance with a true Orwellian objective. Buckle up because this gets strange. And it’s not beyond the possibility of being real. Not when Hegseith is randomly having workers at the Pentagon submit to lie detector tests and sign non-disclosure agreements.
The reason Trump and Pete Hegseth gathered all those generals in one room was not just about a loyalty speech or a pep rally. I’m hearing that the Trump team used artificial intelligence and facial-recognition technology during those briefings to monitor the generals’ reactions in real time. Every eyebrow raise, every flicker of doubt, every moment of discomfort was scanned and analyzed by an algorithm designed to detect who would obey orders without question—and who might resist.
I’m also hearing from my sources that this isn’t limited to the generals. This same technology is being used as a tool inside Trump’s orbit — a quiet weapon of power, deployed by his loyalists to identify and weed out whistleblowers and anyone who isn’t completely obedient. One thing we do know to be absolute fact is that Trump did deny for so long that he knew anything about Project 2025. That is easily ascertained.

This part of Parnas’ newsletter is correct and verifiable. And the other? The AI technology scanning the faces of each man or woman in the room with the purpose of ascertaining who is loyal and who potentially is not? I want to think that that would be too far beyond the pale for Trump to do. But after all that I have seen in the past ten years, I have to unfortunately state that there is no bottom to this idiot clownshow. Anything is possible.
And Hegseth has been reported doing lie detector tests and asking people to sign NDAs because he wants to “stop leaks.” Maybe if he spent more time doing his job competently there would be fewer disgruntled people and that would stop the leaks. But that’s not his MO, seemingly.
It’s terrifying to think that Trump would do what Parnas is suggesting but unfortunately, it’s right in character with Trump. My major qualm is whether such software even exists and I don’t have the answer to that.

You are spot-on, Ursula. Parnas may be right. This does explain why the senior brass were unceremoniously hauled out of their commands and made to watch Hegseth’s performance in person. It’s going to provoke a profound reaction in the Pentagon. Let’s hope it’s the right one.
