Donald Trump used the least appropriate setting outside of a possible UFC fight to needlessly enter the fray in the Israeli-Hamas standdown, by warning Hamas for a last time to hand over the Israeli hostages (And a few possible American citizens) or else. We don’t know “what else” means, but since the entirety of Gaza has been pounded into rubble (seemingly), it would seem that there is little left to do over there. But Trump evidently has plans.
Now, as a general rule, I don’t comment on the dynamic between Israel and the Gaza Strip because I firmly believe that I don’t know enough about the history or situation on the ground. But it sure seems like we are at the point where Israel, as it historically has, is at the point where they are seriously “overdoing it” in Gaza and Israeli-apartheid. So what was Trump doing giving Hamas “one last chance”?
From Trump’s “Truth Social” we have a “tweet.”
Everyone wants the Hostages HOME. Everyone wants this War to end! The Israelis have accepted my Terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well. I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

What terms? That Gaza be destroyed to pebbles? Total and complete surrender of the lands for “property sales” into Israel? Complete removal from the region? Yes, everyone demands that the hostages be returned, but it might be time to offer the carrot, given that the stick is almost broken.
This sounds more like Trump being the warlord dictator wanting a Nobel Peace Prize, along with the “settled seven wars” bullsh*t. Accepted “my Terms” – whose terms? We don’t usually claim ownership and the presidency as personalized. It is usually all in the name of the “United States” – but with Trump, he believes he can do “anything” under Article II. No one has ever pushed the presidency this far, and he’s not done. But threatening more bombs into rubble with people starving sounds like a brutal out of control dictator.
Plus he picks just the most ridiculous setting. He is who he is and will never change.
