Victor Hugo said, “Nothing succeeds so much as an idea whose time has come.” And apparently the idea of Donald Trump leaving the White House — feet first — is on a lot of peoples’ minds. It’s certainly on the minds of the betting public. The voting public had their chance. And so now Trump’s White House fate is one of the following three: 1. He’ll serve out his term and leave in January of 2029; 2. He’ll stay in office past 2029 via a coup and until Mother Nature decides to cast her ballot; 3. He’ll end up leaving his Pennsylvania Avenue residence (“that dump” as he called it, although maybe the gold leaf in the Oval Office helps) before 2029, again due to Mother Nature and her time table.
The website BetOnline.ag said that during the last three days, it has taken more bets on Trump to not complete his current term than they have in total since the election.
“Following a wave of bets over the past 72 hours, we are now offering even money (1/1 odds) that Trump completes a full-term as POTUS,” BetOnline Political Oddsmaker Paul Krishnamurty said. “There’s now significant liability on that side so if he doesn’t make it to 2028 then we’ll incur a huge loss.”
The odds of Trump completing his term were first released months ago at 3/1. Now, that number is currently 1/1.
Will Donald Trump complete current term as POTUS?
Yes       1/1       (+100)
No        5/7       (-140)
(Above odds equate to a 58% chance that Trump will NOT complete term)

Nothing has been ordinary about Trump’s political life or his presidency. He may well be the first president in our nation’s history to die of age-related causes while in office. It is entirely possible given the condition that he’s in.
Spots/”bruises” have been showing up on both of his hands lately, not just the right hand. And it’s speculated that one reason he wasn’t on the golf course several days last week and was out of sight is because he needed to stay off his feet.
There may be other issues that we don’t know about as well. For example, a lot of morbidly obese people end up with knee and/or back problems due to their weight. He might have something like that going on and we simply haven’t heard about it yet.
Trump can lie to us but he can’t lie to Mother Nature. Her laws can only be bent so far and then it’s check out time. No “negotiating” and “no deal.”
And you can expect to hear a lot more dialogue about “What’s worse, Trump or Vance?” That was a rhetorical comment for a while but now it’s an issue that may have to be dealt with head on, because we may be in a position to find out soon. And I don’t see J.D. Vance doing a Harry Truman and turning out far far better than anybody of that era expected that he would.
That may be the new plot development in this reality TV show that 330 million of us live in, though, will Vance become the next Truman? Aye aye aye aye aye. If anybody ever asks you for a definition of “between a rock and a hard place” tell them about these days, when this was the issue we were contemplating: Are we better off with Trump alive vs. dead, because of who Trump’s sudden demise would automatically elevate to the top post?

I’m not as old as Trump but I too am way overweight. Once I became disabled movement became more limited and I simply didn’t bounce back after a bad fall resulted in some serious damage to my right foot. If not as bad as mine I suspect Trump also suffers from neuropathy in his feet and lower legs which partically accounts for his often awkward gate. I wrote yesterday in regards to his health that one can compare it to an airliner about to suffer an “event cascade” that leads to a fatal crash. It’s never as simple as it looks. Airliners don’t just “fail”, but rather for a combination of reasons are vulnerable if something significant goes wrong. One thing quickly leads to another and overwhelms the ability of the pilots to keep it from crashing.
All of Trump’s conditions are the equivalent of a poorly maintained commercial aircraft. AND a pilot(s) not up to training standards. His body is somehow getting him through the day but IF something went wrong he’d be in a world of sh*t. Something as simple as appendicitis could easily kill him. Or, as is common with people his age breaking a hip. It’s not well known but while we think of old people breaking a hip falling, often its the hip breaking because the joint is just worn out weak that causes the fall!
Either way it’s a serious as hell thing to happen to anyone but far more so for old folks. And THAT assumes an old person in general good or moderately good health. For someone like Trump it could start an ‘event cascade’ in his body with all his other medical conditions that overwhelms even a great medical team’s ability to treat.
Point well taken, whether the analogy is commercial aircraft, farm machine, personal automobile, whatever. People noticed his diet was notoriously bad when he first ran in 2016; his penchant for fried fast food was written and talked about ever since. He has been — still is — a walking medical crisis waiting to happen. The online bookies will certainly take steps to minimize if not eliminate any losses on this “action”, and the country will be confronted with a “devil we know versus devil we don’t know” situation — He Who Paints His Face Orange or The Couch “Lover” (cue Cynical laugh).
