BREAKING: Gavin Newsom’s Bombshell Is A Thing Of Beauty

Mark your calendars kiddies, November 4th, 2025. Or as California Governor Gavin Newsom called in his world class news conference/trollfest on Traitor Tot, Liberation Day.

Newsom was good to his word of a couple of days ago on the app formerly known as Twitter, and it was a thing of beauty. He had been threatening CA retaliation for Gregg Abbott’s naked power grab in Texas, and today he dropped the hammer.

Newsom used the opportunity to not only troll Trump and Abbott mercilessly, he also used the opportunity to explain why he was doing it, and the difference is stark. Trump and Abbott are purposely attempting to rig the system permanently to give the GOP a permanent edge in the House. California is simply responding to, and negating that threat.

Here’s how it works. In Texas, the legislature is voting on a map basically redrawn by Ali  Abbott and his 40 thieves giving Texas an expected eight more GOP seats next November in the House.

California is taking a different, more tactical approach. Their legislature will not ram a redrawn map down the constituents throats. Instead, on November 4thy there will be a selection of redrawn maps, all of which presumably have the Democrats picking up at least 8-10 seats in 2026. The voters will self determine the outcome on November 4th.

As in all things political, the devil is in the details. And Newsom took those details and rammed them up Trump and Abbott’s asses. He highlighted the fact that this was not a permanent change, it was an emergency response. The redistricting maps offered on November 4th will last for three cycles, 2026, 2028, and 2030. In 2031, California’s non partisan redistricting commission will once again take over the redistricting process.

Trump and Abbott played with fire, and they got burned. There is no way that Abbott can slice and dice Texas up thin enough to offset the damage California is about to do, and Newson called on other blue states with unified control to step up to the plate as well. And what did I say when I wrote about this subject a few days ago? And when it’s done, it’s done. And it’s done. As Newsom made clear today, even Abbott drops his ridiculous plan, this is set in stone. California will hold their special election on November 4th, and the maps will be in effect in 2026.

You gotta love it. For about the umpteenth time, Lucy tried to pull the football away from Charlie Brown, and this time Charlie Brown kicked her right in the ass on the way by. I wrote before that the new Democratic party is leaner, meaner, younger, and more proactive than their predecessors. And it’s going to be fun watching the MAGA trolls try to figure out how to deal with it.
