Take a minute and a half because you must watch this hilarious admission on the part of a stunned MAGA pastor, who is only now beginning to wake up and smell the coffee and realize that he’s been gaslighted — that all of MAGA and the entire country has been gaslighted. And yes of course, the topic is Jeffrey Epstein, the “Rosetta Stone” as this *pastor* calls him. Only seeing is believing.

This is enlightenment, MAGA style.

No matter what Trump does, they move the goalposts and it becomes accepted behavior. Man, Trump hit the goldmine when he ran for office. He touched a common chord of hatred and stupidity in America. I had no idea that there were that many idiots in this country but what else can I conclude with a second Trump term?

The first one we could whitewash to some extent: Yes, there was Russian interference. Yes, Hillary was hated, largely due to a 20-year right-wing propaganda campaign; yes, the country was ready to shift back to the Republican column after eight years in the Democratic column. I saw all that at the time and I concede it now.

But after Trump’s disastrous first term to want him back? We are a nation of idiots. It depresses me but it’s true.

Trump appeals to the lunatic fringe of the GOP. And the worst people in this country have always been the Nazi/KKK crowd, the gun nuts, and the religious fanatics. And through mutual hatred, Trump brought them together under one umbrella.

This is going to be a long and amazing ride, that’s all I can say.

  1. Greetings and salutations fellow Politizoom-junkies. I need your input. For the past few hours ursula and I have been having a knock-down drag-out, smiles on our faces, email brawl and since she won’t acknowledge that I am 100% right, I have decided to turn to our “tribe” and seek crowd-source consensus.
Ursula insists the past participle of “To Gaslight” is “gaslighted”
    I insist it is “Gaslit”
What does we as a group decide?
I respect you all (especially if y’all agree with me! 🙂 ) but I think our friends should have the final say on this one. Thank you all for “Opining”. 🙂

    • Grammatically, Bryan, I agee with you: it should be “gaslit.” But in this upside down world, we have allowed it with other nouns-turned-verbs, such as “primary to primaried,” “disappear to disappeared.” (Both. Of those are verbs, I know), etc.You get the idea. (Sorry, Ursula, my dear friend!)

    • Sometimes I use “lit” and sometimes “lighted.” If you look in your dictionary (hard print), you will see that both words are the past participle of “to light.” In my Webster’s New World College Dictionary, “lighted” is listed first, but I am not sure that the order of listing indicates preference.

  2. Yes, Todd, that’s what we’re telling you. I have a sense that ole Todd spent the last couple of days conferring with his version of “the big guy,” and this was all he could come up with. It’s laughable, but some will accept it. I doubt this episode of Just Asking Questions will gain much traction among lip service xtians, though. I also liked the part where he asserted that the honesty of this president is above reproach, that’s a hoot!
