Every single time you hear President Donald Trump reference “them” in any context regarding immigration and deportation, be very careful, because he is now floating the idea of deporting US citizens – but we’re all supposed to rest easy because he’s only referring to “the bad ones,” you know – “them.” It would seem to be a relatively safe proposition that when Trump references “them” as bad folks, he isn’t talking about deporting white people who storm the Capitol and beat police officers in his name. No, when we hear “them,” Trump is referencing “those people” without even using the term “people of color” or even “illegals.” Indeed, in tossing around the idea, Trump didn’t even reference any guilty verdicts, only a pre-determined judgment on folks he knows to be “bad people.” Meanwhile, we know what it means.
According to a report in Rawstory, Trump relayed his thoughts in talking to reporters earlier today at the “Alligator Alcatraz” facility in Florida. (We now effectively have a concentration camp located in a swamp, and it is the pride of the Trump administration; take that in briefly.) Trump was asked where he plans to detain everyone that he rounds up, and instead of answering the question, he veered wholly off topic into expanding the pool.
“I’d like to say, you know, a little controversial, but I couldn’t care less. We have a lot of bad criminals that came into the, into this country and they came in stupidly.”
“And it did happen, but we also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time. People that whack people over the head with a baseball bat from behind when they’re not looking and kill them.”
If Donald Trump knows of a person – any person – who has walked up behind someone and killed them with a baseball bat, that person should be in prison in this country for the rest of their natural lives. We have a criminal justice system to deal with the people that commit crimes in our society – the bad people. We don’t simply label someone “bad” and fly them off, not the least bit because we know who “they” happen to be in every case. Trump went on.
“Many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here, too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that’ll be the next job that we’ll work on together.”
It is ironic that Trump says he wants America to be “great again” because this country was founded on the premise that living at the peril of someone’s whims – the king, was awful, whether it be because one wanted to worship differently, or just wanted freedom from tyranny. The deal we struck was that one could be entirely free so long as one followed the law. If we follow the law, we’re supposed to be left alone. It is illegal to hit someone over the head with a bat, so why is Trump talking like there is a new need to get rid of someone who is dangerous, only this time we need to do it by shipping him off to another country?
Easy. He doesn’t want to go through the hassle of proving to a jury that a person hit someone and killed them. He wants to be able to point to someone “homegrown” by skin color, last name, and lifestyle, and label them “bad.” If you hang out with other single young men and smoke weed (legal in many states) and get into mischief, as many young men do, Trump wants to use all this as justification to deport “them” (Watch that word). But as we all know, the entire premise begins and ends with skin color and possibly a last name or accent.
The idea that an American can be labeled “homegrown” and shipped off to another country is as dangerous as any to be floated by any administration at any time. This country wouldn’t be any different than Saudi Arabia, North Korea, or Russia, if we start down this road… The one we’ve already started down. We may be keeping that company for a long time. We will be one of “them” – bad countries, led by bad people.

Zoomers, we are always in need of donations. It’s been an especially rough month, and my own health has not been great these past few weeks, which just adds to the frustration. Anything you can spare will be immensely appreciated. And thank you to all who have donated generously already. Ursula

don’t u remember he had the baseball bat over Alvin Bragg’s head before the trial???
Ironic that hoards of innocent people are being rounded up by a man CONVICTED OF 34 FELONIES AND NEVER SPENT A DAY IN JAIL. America…go phuck yourself. There’s NO EXCUSES to cover this traitorous nazi shit. You broke it…you own it. Phuckheads.
How many children of immigrants in the Trump family? Starting with his father, himself and siblings and on to the next generation. Apart from being white, they are all OK beause they are “he’s” and “she’s”, known to him and not “them”. And so true of many other irrespective of name or color, immigrants across the country, known and trusted in their locality and, therefore, “he’s” and “she’s”, “people” and not “them”.
HYPOCRISY is their religion.
