At the time of publication, it will be my fifth day post-surgery, and I hope to be at home with my personal nurse and beloved furchild, Loula.

I will be taking all prescribed medications without fuss because I am one of those lucky patients who can swallow up to six tablets with one sip of water. Loula, however, is a different case altogether, as are so many cats. For those who are similarly afflicted with a tablet-averse furkid, here is the definitive guide to pilling a reluctant cat.

Furkids love the frothy milk at ko-fi.com/furkids. They want you to know they love licking up their frothy moustaches. You can treat them to their favourite frothies for $3/€3/£3. All proceeds go towards Loula’s healthcare, with our heartfelt gratitude to all contributors.
You can now follow them at Blue Sky: @thefurkids.bsky.social
and Michelle too: @michelleelle.bsky.social
The Furkids are excited that, in addition to their very own account on Blue Sky, they now have their own banner! The inspiring words are by their Aunty Kay (@Kay Coop at Creative Sprints*) and the design by their own Michelle Elle.

*Creative Sprints – The Furkids’ Aunt Sarah and Aunt Sebastiene host Community Sprints every day of the week. This is where much of the work for Furkids is done. Everyone with something on a to-do list is welcome, though you must be subscribed to the channel for at least 24 hours before joining the chat. There’s an open invitation for all Furkids followers to join the Sprints community!

This series reminds me of one of the zoo shows I enjoy watching on TV. The keepers of some cougars have had to give one of them some pills. I missed the part where they showed how they did it, but they were successful. Usually, they find a way to train the animals to cooperate with whatever medical treatment is needed. Later, the veterinarian asked the keeper if they could do it with their cat at home. The answer was of course not. They enjoyed the irony of being able to give a large cat meds, but not their smaller cousins.
Y’know that ROTFLOL emoticon? I was *literally* doing that! I got stuck on 11 and 12 because I was laughing so hard! This was AWESOME! And it reminds me of trying to pill one of our cats, which is nearly impossible. Every time I think about one section or another I start laughing again!! Now I’ll have to wipe my eyes and be serious. Yea, right, ROTFLOLOLOL!!!!!!!
Reminds me of when our youngest child needed stitches, to his head. He was about1 years old. They put him in a papoose board, then the nurse & I laid across him, he still got out of the board!
nice!
