What the hell is WRONG with this guy? He famously had a brain worm that destroyed part of his brain but I can’t help but wonder if doctors failed to suck it all out. You know, like a surgeon not getting all the cancer and the bit left behind starts growing and with virulence. Here’s what has me so incredulous. Swimming is banned in Washington, DC’s Rock Creek Park. The ban is due to high levels of dangerous bacteria, and pollution. It’s bad enough RFK Jr. flouted common sense AND the law, but having his grandkids along and exposing THEM to that water? Why hasn’t he been arrested for child endangerment/abuse?
Granted this is a guy who decades ago was driving the family home from a gathering at the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port, MA when he spotted a dead baby whale on the beach. A normal person with an interest in nature and animals stop the car and take the family out for a close look. Not this guy. He fished a chain saw out of the back of his vehicle (who rides around with a chain saw?) and cut the head off the dead baby whale. THEN strapped it to the roof of the car and he and the family got bathed in juices and gunk for the couple of hours left in their trip home! (It was too hot to have the windows up) In other words normal hasn’t applied to this guy in a long time. If ever.
Still, he’s always been a fairly high profile person because of his family and who his father was. He could have used both traits he was born to for good. Instead he seems to have decided since he wasn’t the person his dad and uncle Jack (or even Ted) were he’d make a point of being a flake and a-hole instead. Now, this jerk who not only has NO medical training or actual experience except promoting b.s. theories and treatments that do more harm than good is freaking Director of Health and Human Services. He doesn’t believe in germs. And he claims not to believe in vaccines, but he’s had them! Talk about hypocrisy. But getting back to the germs are no big deal thing he decided he wanted to “swim in the crick” as they’d say in the country. Having spent time in Rock Creek Park parts of it are seemingly remote.
The problem, as this article from People tells us is that Rock Creek is deemed a hazard to human health because it can contain “dangerous pathogens harmful to pets and humans.” Now most of us, in fact damned near all of us would make sure not to slip and fall into Rock Creek while hiking but not RFK Jr. Oh hell no. As part of celebrating Mother’s Day he plunged right in. And for good measure gave grandkids a bit of a dip into that water as well:
The Department of Health and Human Services secretary, 71, posted photos to X of himself and his family at Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C. In one of the images, Kennedy is fully submerged with his head underwater. In another, he holds one of his grandchildren as the child’s feet dip into the creek. The National Park Service banned swimming and wading in the creek due to “high bacteria levels” in the water.
“Mother’s Day hike in Dumbarton Oaks Park with Amaryllis, Bobby, Kick, and Jackson, and a swim with my grandchildren, Bobcat and Cassius in Rock Creek,” Kennedy captioned his post on Sunday.
Just another Mother’s Day picnic. Only with some funning around in water the National Park Service says could contain particles dangerous to humans and their pets. In other words don’t even let your dog drink that water. The NPS warns visitors “Please protect yourself and your pooches by staying on trails and out of the creek.” The fact of the matter is many waterways in DC are unsafe due to contamination from the city’s sewer system. In fact there’s a 200 foot crack in it near Rock Creek! Despite that our HHS Secretary immerses himself in it (there’s a picture he posted where he’s completely submerged) and for good measure has grandkids splash around with him! Again I ask ‘What the hell is WRONG with this guy?” I guess since he was in DC instead of say Texas there was no old-fashioned “measles party” to take the family to!
Trumpty is famously germaphogic. Even HE will get creeped out by this. Maybe start avoiding his HHS Secretary like Popes should in the future avoid J.D. Vance. But the fact is, this is the guy in charge of critical departments from the NIH to the CDC that were until recently the world’s Gold Standard when it came to researching and advising on Public Health. It’s just another appalling example to the world that this country, a country that has enough dumbass voters to put someone like Trump in the White House a SECOND time after the flaming sh*show of his first term can’t be taken seriously anymore.

Oh my god, that’s disgusting! We kids had 3 creeks to play in, back in the Dark Ages when I was in high school. One was from a reservoir, one from a beaver pond, and one from rain. They weren’t anywhere *near* raw sewage! I don’t care how clear the water is – bacteria aren’t visible to the naked eye! Jeesh, this man is SUCH an idiot – it’s one thing to endanger himself, but his *grandkids*??!!! And he’s the head of HHS. We’re doomed.
My dad took us kids to see the creeks after the hurricane came through. There is NO WAY we would be trying to play in the creeks after that until they settled down. The water was up over the road in places, and roaring down from the reservoir. That was a serious lesson in the power of water. Frightening!!!!
