Like every week since Trump was inaugurated this one pretty much sucked. Ok, so we got a new Pope who wasted no time putting Vance (a Catholic) and Trump (Satan’s spawn) in their place. In fact, an ‘American’ Pope leads off a wonderfully entertaining series of tweets that Xitter’s owner Elon Mush would very much like to ‘X OUT’ but I guess he’s distracted these days. The bulk of them are humorous if not downright funny. A few make you think. All are worth a look though.
We should say thank you to Buzzfeed for putting together their collection of tweets that sum up the past week. I’ve been through it three times and felt I should share it. Really folks, you’ll be glad you took a couple of minutes to click on the link and scroll through it all. You’ll be like me, you’ll want to bookmark it.
So many jumped out at me starting with the first one which as I said had a little fun with the new Pope being from America. I think it encapsulates what I heard pundit Chris Jansing say today regarding him. So many Cardinals spoke about how he had all the qualities they thought we need, “But he’s an American.” You have to think visions of Vatican City resembling the first tweet were in their heads.
Then there was a more serious one about a back and forth between a MAGA and a person with, you know compassion. When the normal person gives in and says ok, let’s help Americans the MAGA screams SOCIALISM at him! Or the one about Trump talking about girls not needing so many dolls. Hmmm. It was suggested maybe rich people don’t need as many houses, cars, fancy boats etc. Or regular gun-totin good ole boy MAGAs don’t need thirty or forty (or more) GUNS.
