Interesting that we have somebody in the White House who knows nothing of American history. After all, the country is only 250 years old. One would think that Trump, out of curiosity if nothing else, would have read a Cliff’s Notes version of what has happened here since the late 1700’s. But Donald has no intellectual curiosity, which is a trait of stupid people everywhere. The main trait, in fact. But this, I must say, is a real whopper. I’ll bet even Vladimir is chortling over this one.
Someone close to Trump is now railing against the US-Japan Security Treaty.
The security treaty guarantees the US basing rights for tens of thousands of our troops on China, DPRK, and Russia's doorstep.
This is beyond the pale. I can't imagine this won't make Tokyo panic.

Trump is a historical imbecile. We joke about his stupidity, but it’s truly mind-blowing.

I was going to call him an absymally stupid son of a bitch but ignorant dipshit will do just fine. Trump knows nothing of WWII, which, let’s face it, is recent history. WWII was a massive turning point in the affairs of this planet and for him to not know the basics is unconscionable. But what’s totally hilarious is that he doesn’t know how utterly stupid he’s making himself look. He thinks he sounds like some major wheeler dealer here.

Another day, another unbelievable utterance. So much for the Shining City On The Hill, now it’s just The Shining. Period.

When you put the village idiot on the world stage …
If you put all the village idiots in the whole world into one new village.
He would be the new village idiot.
The Shining…good choice for a metaphor. The question is: which character is being lived out by us? Jack could be the poster child for us…he started off seemingly normal, with all the usual adult problems…then, with supernatural evil working on him, he goes insane, and becomes an axe murderer. The democrats are the manager interviewing Jack. He knows the deal, but he puts a PR spin on the horror to try and keep the place running. Ursula, I’m afraid we’re Danny, or maybe Tony, the little imaginary boy that lived in Danny’s mouth, who was excellent at sensing trouble. Unfortunately, once the evil spirits finished with the former gop, and transformed them into nazi liars and killers, we are now Shelley Duval…running bug eyed through our time, being scared shitless at the apparitions that appear daily before us, wondering how any of us are getting out alive. I’m afraid we may all end up looking like the insane frozen Jack, lost in the labyrinth of our own historical and political hypocrisy. As our resident song writer/poet, Dylan once quipped; nothing really matters much…it’s doom alone that counts.
