What was that saying about people in glass houses not throwing stones? It certainly applies here. The corpse that just got fished out of the east river that you see depicted above actually holds press credentials to the White House in this brave new world of Donald Trump’s second administration. You saw the debacle last Friday when Trump called upon Glenn, with a wink, and Glenn proceeded to lay into the President of Ukraine and tell him how he didn’t look right. That moment has stuck in my craw for a couple of reasons: first, who is this boor, this propagandist who drinks like a fish, to say anything critical to or about a hero like Volodymyr Zelensky? And secondly, it is normal that leaders wear combat garb to the White House — which Glenn would know if he ever cracked open a history book instead of a brewski. Take a look at this.

That is how heads of state dress when their countries are at war. And certainly Churchill knew all about proper attire. The man has also been photographed in top hats and waistcoats and tails. He’s been photographed smoking fine cigars and drinking champagne. But there is a time and a place for everything. The person who was out of line at the White House last Friday (along with Trump and Vance, needless to say) was Brian Glenn.
Glenn isn’t good enough to wipe Zelensky’s boots but he uses his “position” as a “journalist” to aid and abet Trump in harassing a brave man who is not only defending his country but who is holding the line for democracy in the world.
The biggest tragedy of Trump getting elected again, at least so far, is the way America has abandoned its Ukrainian ally and openly sided with Vladimir Putin. The world is stunned. Not surprised in the least, we all saw this coming, but stunned nevertheless.
And the likes of Glenn and his main squeeze Marjorie Taylor Greene evidently welcome America becoming a Russian colony. It will line their pockets and they’re too stupid to realize that Putin is like Trump, everything that he touches dies. They may both be useful idiots now, it doesn’t mean it’s going to stay that way.

These are the people high up in our government. We live in an era where Reuters and the Associated Press are not allowed in the Oval Office but we have the likes of Brian Glenn and his right-wing extremist outlet.
And Marge is all for the Canadian tariffs because she doesn’t know what a tariff is, either.
Speaking before the president’s address to a joint session of Congress, the Georgia representative told The Independent that the Canadian PM needed to “step up” and do more to solve the alleged problem of harmful opioids entering the U.S. from the north.
“What would be important is for Prime Minister Trudeau to focus on the fentanyl problem, and the cartels who are producing fentanyl in Canada.
“We hope that he steps up and secures the border and protects Americans lives. There’s 200 to 300 Americans that die every single day from fentanyl. President Trump is very serious about the protected Americans and stopping the cartels.”
An estimated 1%, if that, of fentanyl comes across the Canadian border. The irony here is that any drug traffic at the Canadian border is probably coming the other way, into Canada, but their government isn’t going batshit and taking draconian measures — although they will stand up for themselves and are doing so.
It’s going to be a long two years until 2026 when we can take back both chambers of Congress.

That is a valuable piece of information. I didn’t know that Churchill wore war attire. It was a ridiculous, self-serving, ad hominem remark. It is reprehensible on its face for that reason alone.
Yet if we add a historical precedent, it also reflects our typical ignorance of history. Yes, I also didn’t notice that, even though I did study Western Civ.
The guy who dresses like this thinks he can pass sartorial comment on ANYONE else?
i don’t think so.

Lol, wow just wow.
Marge is all in for tariffs because she doesn’t know what they are, true. I think she also doesn’t care about rising costs for essentials. She comes from money, if I’m not mistaken. Or it’s an indicator of her lack of awareness.
This guy loves to dress up for large Marge. I think they have gender reversal night once a week for giggles. I always picture Marge in a newsboy outfit. Pork pie hat cocked to the side. He’s of course slamming it in a sequined cocktail dress with fu*k me pumps.
Makes me smile every time. 🤭
I’m SO sick of this shit about fentanyl. This time a year ago Congress had put together a piece of legislation on the border issue Republicans never dreamed they’d get. Yes, there were some unhappy Democrats and even a few on the GOP side but it had STRONG bipartisan support in both the House and the Senate AND from the WH, then occupied by President Biden. The GOP line to the relatively small number of their members kicking up a fuss was that conservatives would never again get so much from a border security bill. On the Democratic side the message was it was an issue hurting them with voters and taking it off the table long before the fall (and the elections) would clear decks to frame the election on our terms. AND there were some “sweeteners” including a big chunk of money for personnel and special equipment at a bunch of locations that would cripple the main routes for smuggling fentanyl into this country!
It was a win-win and on what’s long been an intractable problem. As the legislation was moving towards markup and a vote Trump stepped in. He did NOT want to solve the problem despite his having raised the issues the bill WOULD have fixed over and over again. He WANTED things to continue to be a mess so he could blame President Biden and Democrats. As for Republicans in swing elections Trump didn’t care. Had the bill passed it would have been a huge bipartisan win and the GOP likely would have bigger margins in Congress right now. Of course, without the border as an issue Trump would have been without a top campaign theme he planned to use.
The bottom line was that actually fixing the problems weren’t in HIS political interest. So he browbeat Republicans into withdrawing support for the bill and it died. Along with a lot of people but Trump of course didn’t CARE about that. All the suffering and yes, dying that would NOT have happened except for TRUMP’S selfishness.
Every time Trump and GOPers bring up fentanyl I’m infuriated that Democrats don’t HAMMER him and the others over the fact that last spring we had a chance to put a huge dent in this problem.
“Every time Trump and GOPers bring up fentanyl I’m infuriated that Democrats don’t HAMMER him and the others over the fact that last spring we had a chance to put a huge dent in this problem.”
With all due respect, Denis, but exactly to WHOM are Democrats supposed to be “hammering” Trump on the subject? If the press doesn’t cover the “hammering,” does it really happen? The same media overlords who have consistently “sanewashed” all of Drumpf’s nonsense over the years, who’ve caved to all of Drumpf’s nonsensical tyrannies, and you expect them to allow a real reporter/journalist to air a piece in which a Democrat gets to “hammer” Drumpf by reminding everyone how his Lardness blew that border deal?
Why do you have to insult the Neanderthals? I’ve known some of them, they are very nice people. Nothing like Marge.
Don’t insult Neanderthals. They were tool.users and buried their dead. I am not certain *what* MTG is descended from, but probably from.stupid segregationists who believed their ancestors would have owned a plantation like Tara,,while in reality they’d have had a few acres and a mule.
I wonder why they used a blond wig? Dark.hair and skin is more likely, like Cheddar man.
I always thought Marge was trans. I think she’s just mad she got the bargain surgery and she didn’t turn out quite as purty as she wanted.
