That’s because the woman doesn’t dress for any occasion, she cosplays. In any event, she donned the garb of a Serious Person and held a roundtable on deep fakes and revenge porn online — and her desire to protect children from it. Hey, Mel, did you know that all the kids already saw your nude photos back in 2015? It might be a little late to control what they see online.
This is her new cause celebre, the new #BeBest. She wants to save kids from the horror of seeing some celebrity screwing on line, only it’s not them, it’s a deep fake. Does she know something that we don’t? Because the way Marge Greene used to whip out compromising photos of Hunter Biden in Congress, I’m just wondering if this will be the new abnormal, Republicans whipping up deep fake porn clips and using it as revenge porn. Hell of a cause for a First Lady, doncha think? I wonder what genius thought of this?

They’re too busy trying to keep hubby from running the country into the ground, but Mel thinks they should be at her side for her cause. And guess what? First Lady Melania Trump used a roundtable event about revenge and deepfake pornography to slam Democrats for not attending en masse.
Although several Democrats did attend the event on Monday, Trump took time out of her opening remarks to complain about other party members who did not show up.
“I’m here with you today with a common goal: to protect our youth from online harm,” the first lady began. “I was heartened to learn that Senator Cruz and Senator Klobuchar united to prioritize this fundamental matter.”
“I must admit, however, I expected to see more Democrats’ leaders, with us here today to address this serious issue,” she continued. “Surely, as adults, we can prioritize Americans’ children ahead of partisan politics.”
Trump concluded by encouraging Congress to pass the Take It Down Act, which would make posting deepfake and revenge porn a felony.
“This legislation is essential for addressing the growing concerns related to online safety, protecting individual rights, and promoting a healthier digital environment,” she said.
So Melania has made an appearance. And she has chosen a cause. And now she can go back to New York until the next big event, which will probably be the Easter egg roll — assuming that eggs can be found and paid for to roll, of course. Melania is forced to be in town today because Donald is going to give his State Of The Union address tomorrow.
Dear Gawd I shudder to think what that will consist of. What a bum Zelensky is because he won’t come to the White House and grovel? How wonderful Elon is for putting disabled veterans in the unemployment line? How inflation is really a good thing and we should welcome it? Maybe he’ll give a plug to Melania’s cause of deepfake revenge porn?
