Granting for the sake of argument that this republic manages to survive this ordeal that we are now in, the images that you are about to see will be marveled over, even as half of us marvel over them now. This is not how government is done but the plurality of the electorate voted for this travesty and the rest of us are stuck with it. This is a particularly appalling way to begin a United States Cabinet meeting, but begin this way it did. This is the HUD secretary thanking “Father God” and the *god* in the room, Trump. (sticks finger down throat)

Lost your appetite? Good. Because it gets worse. Now we get to lies and damn lies.

This is the Catch-22 which may bury Trump at the midterms. He cannot do two things if the issue of slashing Medicaid is on the agenda: 1. Have the budget that Mike Johnson pushed through the House last night pass in the Senate; and 2. Keep red states happy. This is where it gets dicey. Medicaid is the obvious fall guy but the elimination of Medicaid will adversely and disproportionately affect red states. Even Josh Hawley has opposed it, so you know how real this is. Then there’s this brilliant solution.

Wow, this is so easy. Why didn’t some previous president think of it? And maybe Trump could have a $10 million platinum card and the holder gets to spend a night in the Lincoln Bedroom with Melania? All you need to do is get a little creative here, sheesh, what’s wrong with you guys?

There hasn’t been a death in this country from measles in ten years. But yes, all the old diseases, measles, polio, they could be coming back now with a vengeance.

They also “very briefly fired” the people who keeps the nuclear arsenal safe. So this is not a one off. Oh, and have you noticed that we keep hearing every day about either a crash or a near miss to a crash? If you fly often, you may soon have more things to worry about than the price of eggs.

The free press in this country is in peril right now. Just today Jeff Bezos decided to take over the Opinion section of the Washington Post and the snarky “Bezos Bugle” is snark no more. The Post now is the Bezos Bugle.

I reposted this clip because Ron Filipkowski’s comment is so spot on. The end goal is to find $2 trillion in fraud. If that means chopping aid where it should not be chopped, firing people who don’t deserve to be fired, cancelling programs that should not be cancelled, then it does. That’s the agenda. There are more clips of this idiocy if you want to bother with them, but this is the gist of what happened this morning.

  2. Look at it this way: As far as Trumpty Dumpty is concerned HE and he alone is the government. So by his standards since HE is ‘flat and bloated’ (he somehow left out orange colored) then yes, the government is indeed fat and bloated!
