The Furkids are mystified by the current American regime, particularly this weird craze of theirs to partition hoomins into subsets based on birthplace, gender and colour. Colour? Seriously? Furkids are far more diversely coloured than hoomins and they find it absolutely baffling to discriminate on such an inconsequential characteristic. They consider all genders and gender leanings to be as the Universe intended and birthplace is merely incidental, not consequential.
When it comes to emotional bonds, physicality is irrelevant to them – and that includes breed and species – because they know only love matters. That’s why they asked for this song this week. (They also know it is their Aunt Ursula Faw’s favourite so they like to sing it for her at least once every year.)

🥰🥰 Auntie Ursula and Auntie Suzanne helped me heal a bit with this. I have been under a news-cycle cloud all day disbelieving how flooded we are with the inability of people to see other people as people. When there is no money to provide small children of few dollars for one good meal a day, but hundreds of dollars a day to put ther older siblings and parents in “wellness camps” around the country, then people in charge have broken brains and missing hearts!! But, as always, the little animals can be delightful furry models for our better natures. Thank you, Michele for helping me warm my soul! 🥰
