I recommend this 14-minute distillation by Ben Meiselas of Medias News. Meiselas is a lawyer and also teaches law. He hit the ground running when the Smith report was released shortly after midnight. It’s very late in this country (almost 1:00 a.m. as I write) and almost 4:00 a.m. where Denis is, and he just posted on this topic. Rarely does a news story break in the middle of the night that is this explosive and this is one of those times.
What good will it do you ask? Trump already has avoided trial, conviction, prison, so what does it matter? Yes and no. Yes, Trump will not be going to trial on this matter or any other criminal trial matter while he’s in office. That’s a certainty. Trump is not happy that this is in the world. As corrupt as he is, he seeks to dismantle the First Amendment but this is a real stumbling block for him.
The honeymoon is over. Trump has been gloating about winning, trolling his Democratic “enemies” and getting all ready for the big weekend, his pre-Inauguration rally on January 19 and then the Inauguration ceremony on the 20th.

As someone railroaded into prison unjustly, which was admitted to me by the parole board, a body not normally on the side of felons, this is the worst news not the best. The best would have been he’s innocent. This clearly shows all the ranting I did here about the mouse that roared, Merrick Garland, was justified. Where are the apologists now? If Jack had been appointed right away, instead of being shamed into it 18 months later by the Jan6th committee, Trump wouldn’t be STEALING THE OFFICE AGAIN! This country is so full of shit. The poor go to the private prison industry over laws that can’t be justified, and the rich man can get NINE people killed and 140+ officers injured…and he gets GIVEN the office he tried to violently take!!!!
