Trumpnesia is very likely to become the malady that not only cripples this nation but is talked about for many decades, if not centuries, to come. People forgot how he was clueless when he was in office before, and voila, here we are again. Trump represents the kind of bizarre cul de sac that democracy can find itself going into when the letter of the Constitution still stands (for now) but the spirit and decency underpinning the document is long since gone. The Founding Fathers never envisioned that one such as Trump could ever come to lead this nation. And in the event that someone like him did, they left many guardrails to protect us from the bizarre and the unthinkable. They left the impeachment and removal process. The 25th Amendment also exists. But none of those guardrails are worth a tinker’s damn if the fundamental integrity of the elected officials tasked to uphold them is compromised. Here’s the latest slide downward into conspiracy theory and idiocy.
Someone needs a straight jacket and a padded room because he’s lost his damn mind what he had of one to begin with. 😡

This is not the case, and the water is not the issue, honestly this is just propaganda speaking to those who are environmentally conscious. Please stop

California doesn’t need this right now. But then Trump has never been mute on his contempt for the Golden State and its people. The water in the fire hydrants is compromised because a catastrophe of this magnitude has affected water mains and water pressure. Not to mention the fact that Los Angeles is prone to droughts, as is the entire Southwest, which has been deprived this past year of much needed rain. I was praying for a monsoon in Las Vegas last year and I’m praying for one again when the season comes.
But this clown with no answers is going to be in charge in two weeks. Maybe we shouldn’t despair. There’s always the Gulf Of America, right? There’s some water in it, I think. Maybe Trumpty can sign an executive order and have a pipeline to the Los Angeles County water mains tacked together somehow, ya spose? And if only people had listened to Trumpty and raked the forests, then we wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place — well, depending upon whether the Jewish space lasers were turned on or not and that’s above my pay grade. You’ll have to ask Marge.
This is where we are right now. Yes, there was a peaceful transition of power, unlike the transition four years ago, which was then America’s nadir. I am of the belief that a new nadir will be plunged to and hit soon, simply because everything that we have seen follows that pattern. Trump makes everything worse. Chaos and division are what he is known for.
Libtard California burning may be high comedy to MAGA but guess what? The grocery store prices aren’t coming down in two weeks. No salvation is coming from Donald, only more complication. And plenty of desperate times.
For you see, it’s like they said in Star Wars: every living thing and every one of us is connected to a larger whole. There are no blue states or red states, except conceptually. We all exist under the same ecosystem and economic system. What hurts one city or state hurts us all on some level. The fallout is sometimes subtle, sometimes profound, but it is there.
The ugly tribalism that Trump stands for is going to hurt this country greatly. It already has and that will only continue.
There are no exits to Sanity left off of this freeway. Those are a ways behind us, in the past. We plunged ahead to Madness on November 5. We’re now on this crazy ride for the next two years when Democrats can retake both chambers of Congress and stonewall the Mango Moron for his last two years — if he’s not already dead or to all intents and purposes a puppet figure and Vladimir Putin J.D. Vance is doing a Dick Cheney.
You heard Trump’s 70 minutes of idiocy on TV yesterday, or some parts of it. Rick Wilson chimes in on the “Douchebag Doctrine.”
He somehow blamed Hezbollah for January 6, railed about electric heat (your guess is as good as mine), and rambled on with that special Trumpian blend of the malaise only the genius possess and the insane lament. He even declared we’d rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.” This is rapidly becoming the latest loud, dumb culture-war tangent, with the MAGA right zeroing in on yet another big issue that doesn’t matter.
Trump also warned Hamas that if hostages aren’t released by the time he takes office, “all hell will break out in the Middle East” — a region famously receptive to ill-conceived threats. More disturbing, he announced plans for “major pardons” of those convicted in the January 6, 2021 terrorist attack on the Capitol. I’ve tried to maintain a more lighthearted tone, but the notion of pardoning criminals who assaulted our democracy — and the men and women who stood on the line to protect it from his mob — enrages me beyond words.
Is there any good news from yesterday? Perhaps that his followers are slowly (but surely) beginning to realize they were conned. Renaming the Gulf of Mexico, invading Greenland, offering a second tax cut for billionaires, pushing for a higher debt ceiling until 2029 — “The buck stops when?” — and chasing every random neural fart in his echoing braincase all lack a certain, shall we say, focus. These folks expected miracles: cheap gas and groceries forever, millions of immigrants expelled, Big Tech scourged, and wokeness vanquished. Instead, they’re getting the same hot mess they had last time, now with a heaping helping of neo-imperial fantasies of Trumpmerica stretching from the Arctic to the Darién Gap.
Even his “we just want peace, that’s why we back Putin” fans are starting to balk at his grand ambitions. They’re realizing it’s all the same short-attention-span theater, fueled by political showmanship, payoffs for his donors, and petty spats with anyone and everyone under the sun.
Trump isn’t good at being president. He’s a weak leader, a terrible negotiator, and among the worst judges of character when it comes to both our allies and our adversaries. He failed in crisis and fumbled the prosperity he’d been handed. If those 70 minutes were any indication, the next four years — particularly for his supporters — will be even worse.
Again, back to the tribalism. MAGA lives in a dream world that only “their enemies” are going to be affected the next four years, that it’s the land of milk and honey for Trump worshippers. Wrong. Nothing is going to change except to get worse.
Trump is bitching right now about the wildfires in California for only two reasons: 1. He has to shift blame to anybody and anything outside himself because of his own utter incompetence and 2. He has no answers. So rather than send a message of support and unity, and share a direction that he can take America, he just bitches. He has nothing to bring to any table except insecurity and complaints.
That’s what you voted for, MAGA, a hollow shell of a man. We hope you are happy with the results of your decision. You may soon find yourself understanding what you now mock as Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Friends, I am forced to self-promote and ask you for money. We had a bad year compared with 2023 and the end of the year has been catastrophic. Traffic died on November 5. We are a small blog and completely self-supporting by ad revenue, donations, and subscriptions. If you can afford a monthly subscription that would help us out. If you can make a small donation, likewise. Our only goal is to stay in business and give you the best content we can generate. You are the wind beneath our wings. Thank you. They won’t ever understand, it will always be the fault of those evil Liberals… thanks to Ronnie Raygun and the gutting of the Fairness Doctrine to bring in the Reichwing hate media.
Distorting and lying about the truth causes people to not know what truth is. It is one of the prime things to do in order to make people easier to control. And fosters the ability for authoritarians to easily control them.
I read a comprehensive analysis of what has happened to our climate, and there was NOTHING any governor could do to stop either the systems that created the wildfires OR the blizzards. It will get worse year after year. Let me repeat for the slow witted slack jaw crowd…IT WILL GET WORSE YEAR AFTER YEAR. Edward Teller started the warning about fossil fuels in 1959. The industry created reports in the 60s, 70s, and 80s admitting what was going to happen. EXXON for God’s sake created several of those…and HID THEM FOR PROFIT. I feel for anyone who loses their home no matter the reason, including movie stars…except for people like the Maga James Woods crying over his house as he continues to spout conspiracies. I wish they’d finished the job on you in Casino. Yeah I know, it’s fantasy, but the lowlife con man pimp was HIM. No acting needed. Maga mutherfuckers, YOU are in the crosshairs as much as anyone, and now the rich and famous have discovered something they can use in the future…humility. The planet don’t lie, and it has no interior life to care one goddamn whether we remain as a species or not. I wonder how many actors, that played superheroes, abandoned their expensive cars, and ran like chickens when the fox breached the security of the henhouse? Watching cars worth six figures getting bulldozed shows how quickly people lose the veneer of self importance when the shit REALLY hits the fan. For a culture brainwashed by tv and media…we are headed for a faceplant on the asphalt of reality. And you phuckers just put a moron in charge who’s going to stomp the gas pedal. ENJOY IT…YOU ASKED FOR IT…AND THE GRIFTING RAPIST IS GOING TO GIVE IT TO YOU FAST AND HARD. Now where did I put the world’s smallest violin to play a tune of sympathy?
