This is the scandal du jour, or maybe I should say of the hour. Since Trump got elected again, the crazies feel empowered to act out like children. Unfortunately, these children have guns and explosives. But even when they’re not acting out violently, they’re still acting out inappropriately. This is ugly white supremacy rearing its head. It’s tragic. MAGAs portray liberals as the extremists, trying to force our way of life and our beliefs down their unwilling throats. But that’s not the way of it. The way of it is that MAGA is intolerant and backwards, not to mention crude and classless. Today the husband of Republican Senator Deb Fischer humiliated both himself and his wife at the latter’s swearing in ceremony.

The man should have some respect for the office, even if he has no respect for Harris, personally. But he doesn’t. This is just another drop to another sub-basement of decorum. We keep asking, how low can they go, and so far we have not seen a bottom. Only a new plunge downward.
It’s shocking that the spouse of a United States senator would be such a crass child like this. But this is the case. We’ve seen it with our own eyes. If I was Senator Fischer I would frankly not want to bring this guy out with me in public again. He demeaned and tarnished what should be a respectful — if not an out and out sacred — ceremony.
Shame on him. MAGA is the party of hate and division and if you ever start to forget that, come back and look at this tape again. It will refresh your recollection.

Ursula, et. al., I saw this differently from the start and, while I cannot absolutely confirm, I offer this for your consideration. Mr. Fischer did not refuse to shake the VP’s hand…he couldn’t shake her hand! In the slightly longer video of the family getting in place, at no time does Mr. Fischer raise his right arm or use his right hand to help steady the bible. When the VP talks to him, he says “thank you.” I believe the awkwardness for all was because he couldn’t offer his right hand and couldn’t substitute his left because the Bible was still in it. When I researched, I found he might not have a hand disability, but in this photo* he clearly is a cane-user and if that was in his hand, that explains everything to me. I vote we leave him alone!!

What a P.O.S. Even worse was today and the EC certification. Each chamber appoints two “tellers”, a Democrat and a Republican. And there was Fischer as the GOP’s Senate “teller” reading out certificates when it was her turn. The interactions between her and VP Harris were cordial but since this had become a sort of thing making the rounds it shows how classless the entire f**king GOP is to have appointed her in the first place. Even if Fischer apologized privately and better still forced her P.O.S. husband to do so she should have declined the honor. Then again, perhaps she and Harris talked and felt showing they’d made their peace would be a good thing. Still, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Mr. ‘Fish-Dick’ showed us all what a classless, racist disgusting P.O.S. he is and the fact his wife is married to him doesn’t reflect well on HER either. Perhaps before they arrived at the Senate chamber last Friday she briefed him on how things would go and told him to behave himself. Not to show his ass. If so it didn’t take. Still, even if she tried ahead of time to get him to follow the normal courtesies it was because she knew how big an asshole he is so why is she married to him? Well, here’s my take on it:
