Have you noticed there’s a different First Day illustration each day? If you have, the Furkids are impressed and delighted so well done you! (If you haven’t noticed or you’ve missed some days, you can catch up in the links that follow the lyrics.)
Traditionally, the fifth day is five gold rings though it’s often sung as five golden rings which makes sense because it enables singers to fit one syllable per musical note.
But the Furkids weren’t concerned with syllables. Their response was to ask who was playing on the rings. There was considerable discussion before they finally agreed.

It’s a baby Koala! 🐨 He doesn’t seem shy.
She was born in a sanctuary at Australia Zoo which has a large natural habitat for koalas and they’re all used to human visitors. Koalas seem to have no natural fear of us at all. They’re happy to cuddle. When the joeys are old enough to emerge from Mama’s pouch, she and baby are taken for a health check. That’s when this photo was taken.
