The J6 Factor

Here we go. Eighteen days to go and the Trump campaign has to feel like it’s in the climactic scene in The Perfect Storm, their little fishing trawler dutifully chugging up the side of that monster wave, hoping against hope they can make the crest, but waiting for the curl instead.

I’m starting to think that the Trump campaign must be one of those 18-wheelers with like three trailers behind it, in Europe they call them road trains. I say that simply because the Trump ran out of wheels to fall off the truck two weeks ago. And it’s a good thing there’s only 18 days left, for the whole slow moving train wreck would end up as a pile on the side of the road.

And Harris is forcing the issue. Eighteen days out, and Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, assisted by Bill Clinton and the Obamas are making a devastating argument against the Trump campaign. Harris’s message is still inspirational and aspirational, but it’s no longer the point. After the last couple of days it’s clear that her closing argument to undecided voters is a contrast concerning physical abilities, mental fitness, and most importantly, leadership character.

And Dear Lord, the Trump campaign and Traitor tot himself are falling all over themselves to do Harris’s work for her. Traitor Tot ditched another debate, bailed on the 60 Minutes interview, and blew off a scheduled CNBC interview at the last minute. He muffed an interview in front of the Chicago Economic club, had a mental meltdown in a televised town hall and turned all DJ Donnie and sh*t, then laid a bomb at the annual Al Smith dinner. And the campaign’s brilliant, insightful fire hose to put this out? He’s exhausted from the campaign trail.

Stand up and take a bow, FOOLS! Really? Seems to me that that’s exactly the message he was running on against Biden three months ago. It was His Lowness that wrestled grizzlies before breakfast, while it was Sleepy Joe who couldn’t string two coherent sentences together, and had to be in bed by eight o’clock every night. And suddenly he’s the old fart that can’t make it to dinnertime without a nap.

And Harris and her surrogates are having a field day with it. This is a gift from Heaven courtesy of Donnie the Dunce. It’s being mentioned at every rally, and the campaign already has an ad out showing Trump castigating Jeb! Bush at a debate for being low energy, and saying that The last thing this country needs is a low energy President. Take a second bow, MORON!

But the ultimate Nightmare on Trump Street is a nightmare purely of their own creation. All through the Trump Bad News Bears legal wrangling in front of DC District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, I warned repeatedly that they were violating the first law of criminal defense, Never piss off a US district court judge. But they persisted, trying to get the whole shooting match pushed beyond election day when a newly sworn in President Traitor Tot could make it all go away with a wave of his hand.

It failed. It failed because Chief Justice Roberts jumped the gun, issued the courts despicable limited immunity ruling, and sent the case back down to Judge Chutkan to proceed with all dispatch. And Judge Chutkan, furious with the Trump defense team for screwing her court schedule seven ways to Sunday has put the pedal to the metal;

• First Judge Chutkan set an aggressive schedule for both sides to submit written arguments on how the court should proceed to trial with the new SCOTUS ruling guidelines. She set an early deadline for written motions, followed by oral arguments. Team Trump asked for a delay until after election day, and Chutkan told them to pound sand
• Then Jack Smith tipped over Trump’s apple cart. Out of nowhere he filed a newly unsealed 90+ page superseding indictment that Smith claimed had been totally sanitized to be in compliance with the SCOTUS guidelines, and asked that the case proceed directly to trial as soon as possible. The filing included some 2,000 pages of documents and exhibits to prove they were in compliance. Team Trump had a royal shittus fittus, claiming the not germane DOJ 60 day rule before election, and asked that the whole thing be sealed until after the election
• Fat chance. Several days ago Judge Chutkan made publc Smith’s original redacted version of the superseding indictment, creating a days long media frenzy on new evidence in the January 6th investigation. Trump’s legal beagles were apopleptic, but welcome to payback, FOOLS!
• And today Judge Chutkan released the highly redacted 2,000 pages of exhibits and documents, giving Team Trump heart spasms, and kicking off a new media piranha feeding frenzy once again centered on January 6th

Here’s why this is all so critical, and why Trump’s lawyers should be disbarred for criminal stupidity. Starting on January 7th, Job One for Traitor Tot, first House Squeaker Cavein McCarthy, followed by his replacement MAGA Mike Johnson, the RNC, and every MAGA incumbent who could find a microphone was to either obliterate January 6th from public memory, or sanitize the whole thing as a peaceful protest that got a little too frisky.

And here’s why. For the last three years now, in polls and focus groups of former Trump voters now off the bandwagon, and independent undecided voters, by far and away the fominant red line that has turned them away from Trump was his engineering and participation in the savagery of January 6th. That was their bridge too far, and there’s no crossing over it again.

And Traitor Tot himself just had a graphic demonstration of the damage that J6 has caused his candidacy. A day or so ago, at an allegedly tame town hall, a two time Trump voter now no longer brain dead took Il Douche over the falls for his conduct on January 6th, and politely asked the candidate to explain his actions if he wanted to get his vote back. Trump paddle footed, obfuscated, and even doubled down that he had done nothing wrong. In a post town hall interview, the lost voter said he wouldn’t vote for Trump again for triple frequent flier miles. Video of other undecided voters showed them scowling and shaking their heads.

As I’ve written all along, January 6th was a dealbreaker for millions of undecided and soft Trump voters. And thanks to his lawyers incompetence, and John Roberts jumping the gun on the ruling, now, in the last 30 days of the campaign, the Trump campaign is being hammered by a steady, substantive stream of negative January 6th testimony and details that just keeps ripping the scab off of that still fresh national wound.

Team Harris isn’t missing a minute. Today I saw a Harris campaign ad that showed a black screen which scrolled the words as Traitor tot took his oath of office. Every second sentence or so, the screen lit up with video coverage of the Capitol carnage. The ad is both emotionally jarring and primally brutal. And they’re just getting started.

Trump rolled the dice. He gambled that he could delay his trial until after the election, when his landslide victory over President Biden would cure all his ills. Like with King Solomon, he got a half a loaf. The Trial itself won’t be held until sometime early next year, but, thanks to Judge Chutkan’s aggressive scheduling, and adherence to the public’s right to know, Jack Smith has basically been able to try his case in advance, in the court of public opinion. And now, in 18 days, some 155 million jurors will render their verdict. Don’t touch that dial.
