Trump is headed off to Montana Friday — assuming that he can pay his unpaid bills to law enforcement. We don’t know if he can, or will, do that or not. And why is Trump going to deep red Montana and not a swing state? The smart money says that he can’t go someplace where he’s not universally loved. You see, the grim reality of where he actually stands is finally getting through to Trump. He thought he had the election sewed up. Good thoughts. And we may have a few rough days ahead as every campaign does but I’ll tell you what: our roughest day in this campaign is going to be better than Trump’s best day. I stand by that prediction. Just watch it unfold.
Vance is totally strange, all the way from the couch memes to the mascara. He is a liabiity. He’s carrying the campaign now, which is like grabbing somebody at random from the chorus line and giving them the lead in a show. It may work. It probably won’t and it’s probably going to look bad and be embarrassing. That’s what J.D. Vance brings to the party.
But Trump can’t carry the campaign. Let’s see where he goes next week. He’s been playing golf all week but Friday he’ll go to safe deep red Montana and do a 90-minute gig and then let’s see where he goes next. If he’s only going to be in deep red states, then you’ll know without question that he’s playing it safe because he is in dread fear of another Libertarian Convention, where he was booed and another Black Journalists Association meeting, where he was laughed at and his behavior later mocked in the media.
He can’t take it anymore. Trump can only function within his safe MAGA bubble. And MAGA isn’t going to win him this election. He needs to get back the Republicans he alienated and get the Independents and he’s doing jack nothing to achieve those aims.
Meanwhile, J.D. Vance is tripping over his own shoelaces and his approval ratings are descending like ice cream droplets on a cone on a 100 degree day.
I think it’s true tRump is only going where he’s comfortable because he sees no need to campaign. When he says no need to vote it’s because they have plans to cheat. from the bottom levels of vote counting to Congress, who can vote to decide the election if enough confusion in courts. they have Maga in place in at least 4 levels of the election in certain states.
You make an excellent point and many people have pointed out that Trump plans to cheat his way to victory. But there is also the issue that he is losing it mentally and he just can’t handle going into hostile territory. The issue is complex. But I’m sure he’s hoping for a miracle and that his election-denying crazies can save the day for him.
They have already made it clear they plan on “poll watchers” cancel.votes, in other words, cheating. There will also be heavily poll watchers outside polling places. And GA,has those inhumane laws which don’t allow anyone to even hand out bottles of water. Gotta,wonder if you are allowed to use a,restroom when the lines,are wrong?
I have been worried about the planted election deniers as election officials in all the swing states & how that will create delays & confusion about who wins the election. But the past couple of days, I’ve been turned onto a new worry involving the STACKED CORRUPT SCOTUS.
Back in 2000, the GOP leaning court stole an election from DEMS by stopping the vote count in Florida, then installing George W Bush into the White House. In 2020, Trump’s legal efforts to overturn the election failed in all of the lower courts due to their lack of evidence to prove election fraud. When the case finally came to the Supreme court, they turned it down & wouldn’t hear it.
But more recently, this current STACKED CORRUPT SCOTUS has already shown it’s hand earlier this year in how far it will go to give DON THE CON what he wants with their unbelieveable & UNCONSTITUTIONAL decision to give Trump IMMUNITY. What I’ve been worrying about the past few days & will continue to… is this CORRUPT SCOTUS taking Trump’s failed election case at the end of this 2024 election & making up a bunch of BULLSHIT & CRAP to justify handing the White House back to DON THE CON, their LORD & MASTER.
Who else thinks this is something to be SUPREMELY WORRIED ABOUT?
I don’t think Trump understands any of that but lacivita and wiles and Jr do. Trump truly believes he is the zenith of humanity. he knows there are some liberal haters out there but I think he really doesn’t grasp the extent to which he is despised, and not just by liberals. the campaign has probably given up on sending him places where he may not be absolutely adored so they’ll send him places he’ll be comfortable. and I think Janet is correct, they have other plans than increasing their support. they don’t have a ground game, much in the way of state offices or any of the standard things campaigns do. and didn’t lacivta say something about if we don’t win we’ll all go to prison? why would they go to prison?

That is because if they don’t succeed in cheating their way into winning, it will be because they have been caught trying to do it, arrested, convicted of elections fraud, and imprisoned.
They are telling us up front what they’ll try to do. We have to be ready for them.
Daisy, Everything you and Bob say here is absolutely on target. I would just add that the lower their support actually is, the the more they will want to cheat, but the less they will be able to succeed. In terms of public opinion, it looks like we’re heading for “Emperor’s New Clothes” territory.
Yes, DON THE CON has ELECTILE DYSFUNCTION just like he did back in 2020. It’s nothing new… it foiled his run against Biden in 2020 & is doing the same against Harris in 2024.
