The VP hunger games are getting curiouser and curiouser. Doug Burgum technically ran against Donald Trump for the presidency, although you wouldn’t know it by most people. I believe he scored percentage points somewhere below Asa Hutchinson. And he did not receive a kind phone call from the White House after he dropped out of the race, as Hutchinson did. Since then he’s been campaigning hard to be Trump’s VP. Does he know something we don’t, having a TrumpBurgum dot com website?
A website named TrumpBurgum.com, which redirects users to DonaldJTrump.com, sparked rumors on Thursday that Trump had selected North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum to be his running mate.
However, the website was quickly disavowed by Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt who said it “has nothing to do with our campaign.”
Conservative commentator Dan O’Donnell reacted on X, calling the website a “major revelation” adding that TrumpPence.com similarly redirected users to DonaldJTrump.com.
The article goes on to point out that J.D. Vance, Tim Scott, Byron Donalds, Elise Stefanik, and Marco Rubio don’t have websites saying TrumpVance dot come, or the like. So who knows what the Rump Burgum site is about? I went over to the site and here’s part of what comes up.

As I’ve said before, Burgum has money and Trump needs money. That said, J.D. Vance has Peter Thiel in his pocket, so he’s a source of money. And Trump’s campaign may simply come down to cash. We know he sold an airplane not too long ago and he’s got loads of legal bills. You haven’t heard anything about his Trump Organization case going up on appeal and it’s likely you won’t. He’s on the hook for that judgment and interest is accruing daily.
Likewise, no appeal taking place on the E. Jean Carroll matter. And no appeal taking place on the hush money trial. But sentencing in the hush money trial is coming up and that’s on calendar for July 11.
So did Doug Burgum get out over his skis or does he know something we don’t? It is possible that Trump has asked Burgum and Burgum was just getting the money machine ready and then it slipped out ahead of schedule. That’s a plausible explanation for this. And of course Team Trump would deny it because they want to keep the suspense going in true show biz style.
Stay tuned. The only thing that’s certain is that Trump has said he will announce a VP at the Republican National Convention. That is less than one month away. The other two names are J.D. Vance and Tim Scott. Who knows? Maybe there will be a wild card here. Maybe Lindsey Graham will get chosen. Maybe Kristi Noem will become Cinderella after all. Just remember the old Turkish proverb, “When you send a clown to the palace, he doesn’t become a king. The palace becomes a circus.”
Could be bergum thinks that Von Shitzinpants is so addled, if he sees the site he’ll think he actually chose bergum. The problem right now in this country is someone, Von Shitzi, is running for president and very obviously suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s. This sort of thing should have been hammered into the public psyche years ago and damned sure after the J6 fiasco. He isn’t just a clown, he is an insane clown in the mold of that clown from It, Pennywise. Say what you might about how republicans, magats, cons, xtians, and the rest of that ilk are the problem, the fact remains journalists aren’t doing their jobs. Now is it because they are just not doing the job or is it because their corporate overlords forbid it, I don’t know. Probably some of both.

And yet, you’re there on Fox (Fake) “News” spouting your nonsense and no government forces tracked you down, guns blazing, to arrest you and spirit you off to Gitmo or just summarily execute you as dictatorships are wont to do.
