File this under Z for zero surprise. Donald Trump was in Racine, Wisconsin on Tuesday while his wife stayed in New York. And she’s got fundraising plans coming up very soon. She plans to do a second fundraiser for Log Cabin Republicans and this one will be in Trump Tower. I can only assume that if Melania’s throwing the bash in her home, she doesn’t exactly expect enough donors to fill Shea Stadium.
The New York Post story is focused on her expensive handbag, which is about the level of the depth of the subject being photographed. Melania is the proverbial clothes horse, she is what she wears. I shop, therefore I am. Naturally, she’s not talking to the press, she just comes and goes and they comment on her wardrobe and how many pieces of luggage she’s seen with.
So while Donald is off in Wisconsin, and has a busy schedule between now and his sentencing date on July 11, Melania is just socializing and planning her next fundraiser — but not for her husband.
The former first lady is listed as the headliner of a July 8 for “the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives and allies,” according to a copy of the invitation obtained by POLITICO. […]
Log Cabin republicans = Mice for cats.
I think a more apt analogy would be “Gays for Nazis.” (There was a fairly substantial number of gay men in the Nazi movement–right up until Hitler ordered the “Night of the Long Knives” and killed many and sending the rest to concentration camps.)
