Memorial Day gives all of us a chance to remember loved ones who served during wartime. Some of us have family members who gave all, others have family members who came home but left themselves behind on the front lines. This is no time for Eric Trump to be glib because he understands nothing about wartime, nor does his bone-spurred father.
But glib he was, Raw Story reports. Disgustingly so. In the way a spoiled rich kid who’s never seen real tragedy or suffered the daily struggles the rest of us face in real life. Probably the worst thing he’s had to deal with (other than being married to Lara) is that civil fraud lawsuit in New York. So that’s why he posts superfluous crap like this photo of his family — including himself, wife Lara, his father Donald Trump, his brother Donald Trump Jr. with his fiancee Kimberly Guilfoyle, and his stepmother Melania. Then he shares this offensive comment: “The family that gave up everything to Save America. Thank you!”
Oh, and adds “And we will do it again!”

Eric Trump’s comments are deeply offensive to me. They make me remember my then-boyfriend/ex-husband coming home after serving on an ammo ship in Vietnam. My dad fought in World War II and the Korean War. Eric’s father had “bone spurs” while the war raged on. What made him so special? Oh yeah, I forgot, Fred Sr. had money, power, and influence.

I have to wonder if the Trumps are a family of sociopaths. They never display empathy for others. I haven’t ever seen this. Why did Eric Trump even insert himself into this holiday meant to remember the fallen? And let’s not forget the innocent civilians who also died in this war. I can’t think about my relatives without thinking about them as well.
