This is going to get debated for days. Did Trump’s teleprompters fail? He’s always griping about them these days, maybe that’s what happened. And if that’s the case, then why not simply make a joke out of it as he always does and threaten not to pay the company? That gets a few laughs. Or did something more compelling happen? Did he simply lose track of his train of thought? Who knows? But after he missed a couple of beats, the cult music started playing. And that still did not wake him up. He did look a tad bit bewildered. He also looked like he was listening to somebody. I think these folks have it nailed.

He could have responded to the teleprompter fail or simply kept talking about anything at all. He didn’t and obviously rescue instructions were given to him. Whether the teleprompter came up, who knows? We can only speculate. But he made another screw up tonight and Joe Biden let him have it.

You remember how Fox News savaged Joe Biden for saying the word “pause” which I guess was typed there as a stage direction. Biden immediately realized the gaffe for what it was and acknowledged such. Trump just keeps going on and on, doubling down on his screw ups and making believe that they are somehow intentional.
Trump was almost two and a half hours late to this affair today, and then he lost it at the slightest technical malfunction. He can’t keep up the pace. He’s not only in a presidential campaign where he makes almost no appearances, he’s also stuck in trial four days a week, where he sleeps. He can’t keep up with this. He is a morbidly obese elderly man who is not trained or qualified to do what the job of president requires.
Trump would have probably called off this appearance, too, except it would have looked so bad after him calling off the North Carolina rally like he did, at the last minute. There is a message in these no-shows and extreme tardiness. A pattern is taking place here.
Trump won’t give up, however, because he can’t. You know why he’s running to run the country that he tried to overthrow when he ran it before. It’s because he’s running from the law. His only hope is to get elected and have all the federal cases thrown out and I surmise he’ll find a way to throw out the Georgia state election interference case as well.
That’s why we watch this insane vignette day after day. I’ll probably surprise you by who I’m going to compliment now, and that’s Melania. She has a handle on how utterly preposterous and ridiculous Trump running for office again is. That’s why she stays away from it and apparently has directed her son to stay away from it, too.
This is a farce. And we all know it’s a farce. But the GOP has nobody else on its bench that can put together a few votes, and that’s why Nikki Haley has remained on the ballot as a strong zombie. Those are not Nikki Haley votes, per se, they are anti-Trump votes.
The only solution for democracy is to reelect Joe Biden and hopefully some new party can arise out of the ashes of the GOP. Democracy requires two functioning political parties, not one party and a cult, headed by a guy who can barely show up and who is thrown off kilter altogether by the least little stagecraft malfunction.
Wasn’t it just last week he boasted that he could give a speech without a teleprompter and Biden couldn’t? This speech was so low-energy and boring that the audience might actually have been thankful for the musical interlude.

Weird, yes, but to me it seemed like the music wasn’t a cover. It seemed to start on a cue and Trump thought something else was supposed to also get cued, so he waited. Of course, all his boring mumbo-jumbo leading up to that point was clearly sundowning so none of the stopping mattered to his zombie audience!

When Trump REALLY figures out how bad he looks as the true loser he calls others with great regularity, the fact his golden Name recognition, means only a disaster to anyone else, that actually has REAL billions of their own, who will mop up Trump’s businesses for penny’s on the dollar, THEN, clean them up, fix undone maintenance, new paint, no bugs in the kitchens, OR the beds … WOW, Grand openings with big signs, “No more Trump crap, just extra good customer service at a reasonable price.”
Trump’s so far away from reality already, his mind has not realized the depth of his depravity, and the effects he has made to guaranty long term incarceration …
His bubble of make believe is so near to bursting, there will possibly be an action to send him to observation, via court order, with a supervising team of physicians and marshal’s for control of his antics and own protection … A total meltdown is hovering over him now, and in court, the boss IS the judge, who can order up whatever needs the court has, like a clean up crew for whatever spews from Trump while spitting out his vile comments and red faced screaming, as the jury is sent to a safe place to miss all the flashing lights and be safe from physical attacks from Trump …
