The faithful have gathered in Wildwood, New Jersey tonight for a MAGA rally. Some of the people in the audience are the same ones that have been photographed at 30 plus rallies, says Meidas Touch editor Ron Filipkowski. It’s been a pretty wild ride so far. Trump is in rare form tonight. Here is an actual transcript of him lauding Hannibal Lecter, of all characters.

“Silence of the Lambs. Has anyone ever seen The Silence of the Lambs? The late, great Hannibal Lecter is a wonderful man. He oftentimes would have a friend for dinner. Remember the last scene? “Excuse me. I’m about to have a friend for dinner,” as this poor doctor walked by. “I’m about to have a friend for dinner.” But Hannibal Lecter. Congratulations. The late, great Hannibal Lecter…”

There you have it verbatim. And what does he mean the “late, great Hannibal Lecter?” Lecter doesn’t exist. He was dreamt up by a screenwriter and actor Anthony Hopkins’ portrayal gave him life. Hopkins is still on this side of the grass, so who is “late?” But forgive me, I’m trying to parse the *mind* of Donald Trump and that’s an act in futility. Now on to tonight’s sideshow.

Here’s one of his better gaffes.

I have no idea what he was trying to say. Usually I can figure that out.

Then there’s this lowlight. I’m surprised Trump went there.

And that’s why his attempt to use his youngest son went into the crapper yesterday. All the world’s a theater closet and all the people merely props. This showed up in the Twitter thread so I figured I would post it here, because it fits so totally in.

You see how Trump world is about the grift, first last and always? Back to Melania.

I’m sure that that very thought is what depresses Melania, that Donald will soon return.

And this opens a can of worms.

And eventually what you would expect happened.

Not exactly the sign of a riveting orator, I’ll say that much. Now this next shot is something I had to share.

I have a theory. I think that the chord that Trump touches is primal. I think he impresses people who are losers, who know they’re losers, and who hate themselves, moreover. Because they’re losers (and I define a “loser” as someone who simply won’t even try) they want to see a loser like themselves “win.” (And I define “win” as having all the cultural awards, money and power, the ability to buy and sell people, to get one’s way.)

Winning has other definitions. Winning is having real friends and allies, not just transactional relationships which are purchased and which would disappear the minute the purchasing power did. Winning is having actual love, friends, and family, not just creating the appearance of same. And winning in business is having success in the particular business you’re in, (not going bankrupt six times in different ones and being on the verge of the 7th) being respected by your peers as competent in your field, a real pro. Trump has only won in one business and that was television, because he fit perfectly. He was a freak. If his freak show had simply stayed in the world of entertainment, all would be fine. But he had to go next level with it, and for reasons we could talk about all night, the Republican party was in such a shambles that he was able to pull the coup he did on them. And then he tried to pull a coup on all America.

And he’s going in for a third coup. This time the coup will be to thoroughly overthrow the government, untrammel himself from his legal encumbrances, and walk scot free as an alleged criminal, without the people ever having the chance to try his cases. That is the state of affairs these days.

The cult loves Trump because Trump is them and Trump fulfills their dream. Between them and the Republicans who believed in their party in 2016 and between the cult and the duped Republicans Trump got in. He can’t get back in in 2025 because he won’t leave in 2029 that we all know that.

  3. Maybe we should just “deport” Trump, already. I mean, he’s planning to do that to the pro-Palestinian protestors who were overwhelmingly born and raised in the US and are full-fledged US citizens.

    And, maybe we should just “deport” all the MAGAts as well. Since Trump is such a fan of Putin’s and, presumably all the MAGAts are fans as well, maybe Russia would be happy to take them all in. Oh, but, to stay in Russia, they’d have to all get jobs (without taking any away from Russian citizens) and be able to speak Russian well enough to get by (I really doubt they’d fare even half as well as that “horde” of Spanish-speaking people swarming over the border that they’re so scared of). But, the men could all get jobs without much problem–as long as they’re willing to join the Russian Army and spend their time fighting on the Ukrainian front.

    • If only putie would take the magats. I don’t think even he would want this level of stupid in his country particularly since russia is such an economic basket case. As cannon fodder I suppose they would be OK: he could just try throwing bodies at the Ukrainians because his military “strategy” isn’t working worth sh*t.

      That tatoo on that woman’s chest is just…wrong. I could not imagine seeing that damned thing every time I got out of the shower. I couldn’t imagine getting it in the first place
