Ah, what a night. It was a good news/bad news kind of a night where yes, Donald Trump did win Super Tuesday. But the bad news is that it was not the kind of a unanimous win which he, or any candidate basically running as an incumbent, would wish. A lot of Republicans have dropped away from Trump. And they made a statement, Vermont tonight, Washington, D.C. a few nights ago, when they voted for Nikki Haley. Trump greatly underperformed percentage wise, even in states where he won. And so what’s next? Why, on to the conquest of the RNC. And what does that look like? So far, ridiculous is the best descriptor.

This next clip shows Lara being the perfect Trump toady. That part, we expect. The part where she’s telling everybody who doesn’t support MAGA full bore to get screwed? That’s a mistake. Or, maybe Trump knows the GOP electorate better than we do, maybe they’re looking to get screwed.

Now what we were saying about maybe the GOP electorate wants to be screwed by Trump? Evidently I’m not the only one wondering.

My opinion is that there are no votes to lose — but that’s not Trump’s opinion! Oh, no Sir! He came right out and said the other day that he had all the votes he needed and he’s been talking this MAGA purist line.

Now if you’re feeling a sense of vertigo, it’s understandably. Lara wants to bank Republican votes? Isn’t Donald’s main contention that paper ballots are all fraud and that only same day voting is valid? And in that top clip, did you not hear that Rachel Maddow quoted Lara Trump as saying, yes, her father-in-law says it’s time to do away with early, mail-in voting?

They better square away that discrepancy right now. Yes, mail-in voting is a good thing. Universal mail-in voting is an even better thing. The reason Trump didn’t like that idea was because the red mirage allowed him to claim a victory he should not have claimed. That’s why he wanted to stop counting ballots. He knew there was nothing wrong with paper mail-in ballots, he just used that as an excuse to explain that when all was said and done and the ballots were counted, he lost.

Here’s a great clip. Ronna McDaniel decided to leave the RNC because she didn’t want to “see it used as Trump’s bank.”

This is now the hot story of the hour: Will the RNC allow itself to become the Bank of Trump or are they going to go a different direction? Just based on the voting we saw in the primaries and Super Tuesday, it would certainly seem that a lot of Republicans are not crazy about the RNC becoming Trump’s private financing arm. We won’t have to wait too long to find out what happens.
