Fox News is spinning Donald Trump’s arrest as a positive. Yea, verily, not not only a positive but an achievement, in fact. They ran a piece wherein they show famous personalities from show biz, naturally, who got arrested and had mug shots taken. There are none from politics, alas, but Fox News doesn’t make the distinction, apparently.
Here’s Trumpty Dumpty up there with Elvis (not for the first time, but in this context) and Frank Sinatra and others. I have to say, it took a bit of creative thinking to come up with this.

“He’s a rebel,” they crow. Rebel without a clue, certainly. I’ll grant that much.
Getting a mugshot? And you call yourself the ‘Chosen One?’

Now help me out here, because I’m a little confused. What is the “gangsta vote” that Trump now has? This is people who are gangstas (and aren’t a lot of them in the slammer and thereby disenfranchised?) or people who admire gangstas (like the crazy ladies that sent marriage proposals to Charlie Manson in San Quentin, to the very end?) We’re talking about that block of voters? Um, ‘scuse me, I think that they already vote MAGA. But Trump will cum when he hears he’s up there with Elvis, Frank, Johnny, and Tupac. They got great ratings, sold a lot of records.
Elvis is long gone. Frank Sinatra is gone, too, but he did tell Donald Trump to go fuck himself in 1990 when he refused to play at Trump’s Taj Mahal casino. Johnny Cash died before Trump was elected but his son John Carter Cash was horrified when people at Charlottesville wore Johnny Cash tee shirts. Cash said his father would have been horrified, too.
And then there’s Laura Ingraham. She was the one, you may recall, who said it was time to “turn the page” on Donald Trump. Isn’t it lucky for her that pages in books can be turned back as well?
I don’t think you need to be psychic to figure out that the Murdochs have seen the handwriting on the wall and if it’s going to be Trump on the GOP ticket in 2024, then why let Newsmax and OAN, what’s left of it, and RSBN get all the views? It’s time to get back in the saddle and make money. That $1.6 billion settlement to Dominion was a real drain on the coffers.
And here’s a jewel.

But going back to Frank, Elvis, Johnny, and Tupac: were they ever arrested for stealing State Secrets, attempting to overturn an election, or leading an insurrection against the United States? Anyone?
Elvis was arrested the first time for speeding and the second time for disorderly conduct. Sinatra was arrested twice in the 1930’s for seduction and adultery. I didn’t even know those were crimes. I guarantee you I never studied that in criminal law. Johnny Cash was arrested for public drunkenness and indecent exposure. Tupac was arrested for sexual assault. These are all offenses which pale beside Trump’s doings.
But keep it up, Fox News. We want to hear how it’s a good thing to have a gangsta run the government. Like I said, Idiocracy was prophecy, not satire.

He’s certainly got the Gangsta rap.
91 charges and counting.
Not having heard a fox make a noise before, makes one wonder what a fox actually sounds like. This particular fox appears to be hypocritically gilding a lily. So, it appears, this fox now returns to its foe’s den, to bed down with its once banished evil overlord; concurrently lending a sympathetic ear by releasing a scripted programme, containing crazy suck-up dialogue, for purposes of: fawning appeasement; tactical self defence; and income generating behaviour.
I have been in several black families since 1998. My significant other is from Tuskegee, a black town. We’ve been together 17 years. I know a lot of good young black men trying to do the right thing with their children. It’s not easy to repair 240 years of your ancestors being oppressed and families destroyed. It’s not easy to overcome the stereotypes white people have about black men. There are individuals I consider friends and family. They have been struggling all their lives but they keep going. I wouldn’t trade any of them for every republican I’ve ever known about. They are nothing like Trump. Nothing.
That’s true. But the meme did not say he was a black uy. It sad he was a sereotype of whay white racists think is a black guy. Not in those words, but that was the intent. And that’s also true (I suspect it’s also true thet there are a hell of a lot of white guys who are more like the sterotype than any black guy could possibly be.)
