Lauren Boebert thinks that it’s amusing to quote scripture and wish death on Joe Biden, publicly. She’s done it twice now. And I imagine if you’ve got an IQ of 95, it probably is the essence of thigh slapping hilarity. But to Christians who take their faith and their Bible seriously, meaning anybody who’s not a prosperity consciousness grifter, it’s an affront. And well it should be. Newsweek:
The congresswoman was speaking at the Spiritual and Leadership Training (SALT) conference at Storehouse Church in Dallas last month.
“That’s alright we pray for our presidents—let his days be few and another take his office. That’s why I filed articles of impeachment for Joe Biden. Unfortunately, he does have a really great insurance policy named Kamala Harris,” Boebert said at the time.
The GOP lawmaker added that she was quoting Psalm 109:8 from the Bible, which states: “Let his days be few, and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.”
This is meanspirited, vicious drivel and I’m elated to learn that a Faithful America, an online community of Christians, posted a petition on February 8 that has been signed by 17,986 Christians as of Friday morning. It’s got my signature. I’ve studied the Bible and other religious texts and if Boebert is a Christian I am King Tut. Jesus preached love, tolerance and inclusivity, Boebert practices hate, prejudice, and recently went on record saying “equality must end.” She’s not a Christian, she’s a heretic.

I don’t care if Boebert repents, I’ll take her resignation. The woman is meanspirited and cruel. In addition to this, she insulted Stephanie Ruhle on her own show, saying “Oh, you’re such a loser,” when Ruhle was graciously extending her the opportunity to come back on the show and discuss red flag laws. To date, nobody but Boebert has been that openly classless on network television to a news show hosting inviting them back on.
Then there was her smug attack on Pete Buttigieg, telling him he should learn his job by watching Thomas the Tank Engine cartoons. She’s a stick stone stupid smirking savage with no redeeming qualities.
I signed the petition just now. I think she should resign but won’t. Her rhetoric gets more hateful. She just doesn’t understand our country. I wish I lived in her district so I could vote for Adam Frisch.
She seems to think that being uncivilized and repulsive is somehow effective.

It got her re-elected so it apparently is attractive to the voters in her district. Now, she’s not effective for those voters, or anyone else in her district but they don’t seem to give a fuck.

Out of staters can contribute. I have known to kick a few bucks to Dems in other states when I can. Act Blue knows me lol.
She’s just a cruel little bully. And she didn’t know it was Thomas the Tank Engine and just called it Thomas the engine. She does no research before throwing out remarks – most of them hate-filled. Even with spelling she is a failure. All of that is important to being a congress-person as clear and accurate communication is a must. She’s out of her element and should have never been a congress-person; rather, she’d make a great paid heckler at hate events.
She has a GED. That’s the extent of her education. (And I’ve heard she took that exam and failed it three times.)

Great job, Ursula. If that woman’s a Christian, I’m the reincarnation of Princess Di. I signed the petition also, I am not a churchgoer, but I am a member of Faithful America, I sort of think of them as my church. I expect you and most of us are familiar with the kind of people who sort of ran me out of going to most churches. Let’s just say I care a lot more about what you do than about what you say. But some things said, like Bobo’s chin music, need to be chastised (to put it as politely as I can). Keep up the good work.
