Whether heroes are made and not born like the Olympian gods, will continue to be a topic of discussion, but unquestionably Volodymyr Zelenskyy makes the cut. He has not only united his people, he is uniting the countries of the world in his quest to help his people survive.
Ukraine is the underdog here, its geographical position being its chief liability. The Brits can relate to that all too well. There are still some people in the UK who were there for the bombing of Britain, including Queen Elizabeth.
Zelenskyy paraphrasing a famous Winston Churchill speech to this crowd was magic.
In a live address to UK Parliament today, Zelensky invokes Churchill: “We will not give up. We will not lose. We will fight until the end. At sea, in the air .. We will fight in the forests, in the fields, on the shores, in the streets.” pic.twitter.com/tnmGsgv7qG

This is the speech Zelenskyy evoked.
One more public relations disaster today for Putin, one more victory for Zelenskyy.

This isn’t helping either.
2018 Miss Ukraine Veronika Didusenko today in LA after escaping Kyiv, speaks out against Putin targeting women and children by bombing hospitals, orphanages, schools and nurseries. She says 34 hospitals have been destroyed. pic.twitter.com/S4555WXB8M

And once again, Americans hang their heads in shame remembering this.
Zelenskyy is fighting the good fight. Ukraine is lucky to have a leader of this caliber.
Watching a true leader put his life on the line, (he has a family), & embody the values we claim to have is inspiring. It’s more striking given the spineless, money grubbing weasels we elect to office. The entire republican party has blood on its hands.
Remember when we impeached a President for trying to extort Ukraine, while he supported Putin?
It wasn’t that long ago was it?.
