You will hear it on a daily basis here and it cannot be overstated: Ukraine is a war for freedom, but it is also a war between Truth and Lies. In the liars column today is of course the Russian ambassador to the UN and calling him out is the Ukrainian ambassador.
The newest round of right-wing fantasy has to do with bio weapons being developed by the United States in Ukraine. This doesn’t exist, but of course the story plays a vital role in the war on truth.

PUTIN MUST be stopped
Putin started laying the groundwork for this last week. Looking at things he can’t be happy about things not going better than they have in those disputed eastern areas of Ukraine – the ones that were assumed to be solidly pro Russia. That would be the place for Putin to deploy bio/chem weapons, partially as payback against people in those places for not “getting it done” for him on day one of the war. Part two relates to what you note which is that this stuff can cross borders, and fallout/spread on winds over the border into Russia will give Putin his excuse to openly use that stuff in the rest of Ukraine under the bullshit claim that Ukraine (with the help of us and NATO) started it and now that Russian civilians have been hurt and killed he is “Justified” in full scale use in the rest of Ukraine. You heard it here first.

Russia is as I feared when I wrote an article a few days ago ramping up their propaganda campaign ahead of deploying biological or chemical (which includes nerve agents) warfare in Ukraine. Frankly I don’t feel we and other countries have been pushing back nearly as hard on this as we should. Probably it’s because of fear of how it would affect things with China which seems to be adopting a “What? Could Putin be right about this?” stance instead of making it clear (and publicly so) that they know goddamned well Ukraine and other western powers haven’t been using Ukraine labs to develop such things. This is why I’ve come down on the side of it’s time for NATO and others to start sending in air power to destroy Russian forces and equipment. Before meaningful amounts of this “BC” part of the unholy triad of NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) gets used. Russia doesn’t have air superiority over Ukraine, much less air supremacy and we/NATO can establish exactly that and with it the ability to use precision guided weapons from well above hand-held anti-aircraft missile range. And as I’ve repeatedly said we and a couple of NATO nations can quickly deploy the close air weapon that Russian commanders fear the most – the A-10 which is the perfect airframe to demolish Russian vehicles (including armored ones) and even SAM batteries which AWACS can guide them too. The A-10 is damned tough to bring down even with modern hand-held anti-aircraft missiles and that has been proven. It’s time to wipe out Russia’s war making capability in Ukraine. Russia is now systematically leveling populated areas and seems increasingly willing to turn every major city into rubble. This needs to end. Now.
