I guess we should be grateful that we never had a megalomaniac in the White House before, or we would have seen this happen. The way to deal with losing is to pretend it never happened. Here’s Trump’s latest, in a podcast with right-wing journalist John Solomon.

I never thought I would be in a situation where I understood how it felt to live with the danger of communism or some totalitarian regime about to happen. But I know how people in those countries feel. This is so wrong. It’s such complete bullshit. But still he keeps going, bragging about another run at the White House.

  1. The most despicable loser in history just can’t accept that he lost so bigley! Plus his lies are how he keeps grifting from the republiQ-Nuts!! November third 2020 was a great victory for our country and Democracy. The attempted coup on Jan 6 2021 was treason by the Orange Monster, and he and any of his followers that were involved deserve to be convicted of treason and hanged!

      • Um, hate to break it to you, P J (and, to a limited degree, you too, Spike) but the Constitution specifies that it “shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” Under this phrasing, “levying war” means “the assembly of armed people to overthrow of the government or to resist its laws.” (That definition largely derives directly from England’s Treason Act 1351.)

So, what happened in the Capitol on January 6th most certainly DOES describe a legal definition of treason. The famous (or infamous) Whiskey Rebellion of 1791 resulted in verdicts of treason against many of the participating “rebels” (none of whom were known to have been acting under the influence, or for the benefit of, a foreign power).

Sedition, on the other hand, is generally limited to conspiring to bring down the government or hindering a law from being carried out but there ARE significant overlaps (though it should be noted that treason requires two or more witnesses while sedition doesn’t require any witnesses).

  2. Poor Benedict Arnold. He was a solider who fought well in the American Revolution. When he got screwed by congress, after suffering a severe injury to his leg, he plotted to hand over West Pt.to the British. Frump only battle is to get his fat ass out of bed, probably around lunch. He tried to end our democracy. What shall we do? What should be done? He was president. Talk about betrayal. Talk about violation of sacred oaths taken when nuclear weapons are placed in your hands. Everyday this man walks free erodes everything this country ever HOPED to represent to the rest of humanity. Time for some real justice.
