Sociopath is as sociopath does. You may have seen the news story where people hanging a Trump Won banner in Yankee stadium were escorted out of the stadium. Needless to say, they reacted antagonistically and said that Fenway Park was next.

Take a look at this. What will become abundantly clear to you is that this isn’t about politics at all, this is about grievance. This is acting out.

This reminds me of a scene in the 6th grade, where we went on a field trip to see a symphony orchestra and two girls next to me decided that they hated the orchestra and so they talked and laughed and acted out the whole time, until eventually the hand of authority came down the aisle and grabbed them. That’s all this is, is defiance of authority and juvenile acting out. And that’s who and what Donald Trump is about. The tragedy, as it has been noted any number of times, is that this is what the Republican party has degenerated into. That is the real tragedy.

George Wallace had to run on a third party ticket, because there’s no way either the Republicans or Democrats would have put him on their ticket, back in the day. But now we have lived to see the day where a major political party not only made the mistake of putting a lowest common denominator lunatic from TV on their ticket, they tripled and quadrupled down on the mistake by revamping their entire party in his image and purging those dissidents who don’t comply.

I hope we’re not seeing the last gasps of democracy and the beginning of a fascist takeover in this nation. While I wail and moan about the 74,233,369 people who voted for Trump, at least there is the good news that there were seven million more sane Americans who came out and voted for the continuation of democracy and the resumption of normal government.  Maybe that’s how it’s going to be now, the thin majority holding a razor’s edge over the lunatics and keeping them at bay.

These scenes are ugly, but then again it’s only June. America has made tremendous progress during the Biden administration’s first few months. Over 40% of the population has been vaccinated, states are opening up for business this summer, unemployment claims are down. All this is good news. But because things look good in the throne room, don’t let the rattling of chains and the growls that you hear in other parts of the castle go unnoticed. The crazies haven’t gone away, they’re just not in the ascendant right now. And unfortunately, people like Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, you know all the names, are looking to swell the ranks of and empower that very group.

It should never be forgotten that a lot of what is going on in this country right now was going on in the beer halls of Germany in the 1930’s. We can’t ignore this.

Well, we needn’t have been in that position in the first place if the nearly 3 million saner voters in 2016 had been more widely spread out so that the Electoral College would’ve awarded Hillary Clinton 270 votes.

  2. The Republican voter has never been anything but greedy, spiteful racist. The only thing is they used to act more dignified.
