Before I get to the main course, I have a question or two. The President of the United States is officially the Commander in Chief, the highest ranking military officer in the country, right? If so, would he be eligible for charges of Dereliction of Duty for his 187 minutes of inaction on January 6th, whie the insurrection raged? Just something to get your juices flowing.

Now. Tuesday, GOP congresswoman Liz Cheney once again dropped the neutron bomb when she related that President Trump himself had apparently tried to contact a witness cooperating with the J6 committee. It has been forwarded to the DOJ for possible criminal review.

Well, it just got a whole shitload worse for Trump. CNN broke the news, and MSNBC confirmed it, that the person that Trump attempted to call, while this person refused to answer, was a member of the White House support staff. I think Traitor Tot had better sell a golf course, and get a better criminal lawyer.

Here’s why. Donald Trump is the most self absorbed man on the planet. He once bragged that, even with 4 kids, he never changed a diaper. When he took his toddlers to the office to be with him, he spread toys on the floor for them to play with, and then totally ignored them. No junior employee of the Trump organization or one of his resorts can ever recall him calling them by their first name.

Trump is an elitist pig. And it has been confirmed that the staff support member whom he called was not someone that Trump would have had daily, or even occasional contact with. The connection seems to be that the witness had testimony that could corroborate parts of Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony.

Which begs the most natural question in the world. Why the fuck would Trump suddenly reach out to somebody he never even knew existed? Trump wouldn’t recognize this person if they bumped into him on the street on 5th Avenue? Why this sudden desperate contact?

Elementary, my dear Watson. The J6 committee hearings are getting under Trump’s skin. The person who called Cassidy Hutchinson was full of shit. Trump doesn’t even read the comics, much less his PDB’s as President. But Trump sure as shit is watching these hearings, his feeble social media posts contain too much detail for him to be that out of the loop.

As Liz Cheney has already stated, first His Lowness tried using cutouts, possibly motivated by other cutouts such as Mark Meadows to contact and try to influence potential witness testimony. But when Cheney blew the whistle on national television about the Meadows inspired attempt to coerce Hutchinson, Trump knew it was time to take the bull by the horns. And so he picked up the phone and made a call.

To be fair, the witness did not answer the call, and there has been no evidence presented telling how they knew it was Trump. But the simple fact that Cheney outed Trump on national television as having made the call, and no direct denial from Trump, makes me think it’s golden.

In closing, let me remind you of one thing. The federal statute doesn’t require that the intimidation attempt be successful, nor even that the contact be completed. It only requires that the contact was attempted, and that the witness felt intimidated of coerced, for it to be witness intimidation. The Garland DOJ is going to have a hard time brushing this under the rug, the fruit is too low hanging.

    • True PJ, but how would a low level staffer know Trump’s liikely personal cell phone number??? Why would he ever have called him or her before??? Tis a conundrum…

She got his attention enough to get trump to tell her he could help her out with her career, maybe make her a model, get her a management job at a hotel. She shares her digits thinking this could be a good thing. just speculating.

      • She doesn’t need to have had his number in her phone. His phone would still have generated a caller ID, associated with his number. It would appear on her phone’s screen when he called, and also be recorded in her list of “missed calls.” even if she didn’t pick up.

  1. One of the legal talking heads said federal witness intimidation carries up to 20 yrs sentence, which would be a life sentence for TFG. I don’t care what they put him away for – tax evasion, sedition, witness intimidation – just that they put him away. If this charge is easier to prove, then dammit Merrick get on the stick and do it.

    • In Nixon’s,case, it was the 18 minutes of tape the secretary didn’t erase that took him down. Little people matter a lot. Some of that support staff has worked for several.presidents. LindaTripp worked there under Bush and Clinton. She was an R and hatrd Bill Clinton. They keep.their jobs no matter who is CiC. They aren’t political.appointees, but civil.service types (whom the Rs call the Deep.State). They guarantee continuity,so the White House isn’t devoid of staff while appointees, are voted on. I can bet that while Fat Donnie wouldn’t recognize them if he shot them on Fifth Svenue,,some of his appointees, and their staff do, especially the lower echelon of stsff. And they will bring him down.

  2. I think there are difficulties with this one. If former guy did not leave a message, there is no way to prove at all why he was calling. We can assume, presume, speculate, etc. all we want but that is all it is and I can’t see DOJ going after him on this particular call. Yes, he probably was calling to try to get the person to not go before the committee but we will never KNOW for sure unless former guy admits that is why he was calling or he left a voice mail which it doesn’t seem like he has. Alternatively someone with intimate knowledge about why he was making the call could step forward but that is unlikely: the former guy’s lawyers would have tried to stop him if they were in the room with him so they’re not coming forward with anything and I doubt his family or remaining friends would either IF anyone was even present when he did this.

Aren’t there other calls out there where it is known he tried to get the person to ignore the committee? Sure hope so because this one is a nothing-burger at best and a black eye on the committee at worst if they go after it. If Garland goes after this one while ignoring the more serious AND proven crimes former guy has committed, he’s not very bright.

    • Has there been any indication he was that smart OR careful about anything? Or that Liz Cheney wouldn’t have laid this out unless she knew this was a mortal lock of a bet? To wit, the latter has more than earned the trust while the former continues to show he would fail the entrance exams into kindergarten.

      • You might be right, I don’t know certainly. It seems like a great deal is pretty nebulous. I do think part of this committee’s job is a fishing -it has to be if they want to get every bit of evidence possible.

  3. I will say this about trump. Of all the genius’ in the world who can say five words in a row at one time ,trump is certainly one of them. I am also certain that trump would be the first hog to the trough on basket day. Bar none. Peace out.

  4. Nixon went down because there were legitimate Republicans who stood against him, including Barry Goldwater. Now there is only one party & a death cult.

  5. Trump has five known children, not four (Ivanka, Don, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron) — but either way, he was a pig who did nothing to raise his children.
