Americans have dead nerve endings. Yes, we do. After seven years (did somebody break a really big mirror in this country?) of putting up with Donald Trump, so many things that would have been front page headlines a few years ago now just roll off our backs like water off a duck.

If, for instance, back in the days of Watergate, Richard Nixon had dared to question the identity of any of the people assembled against him, let alone that of Archibald Cox, the special prosecutor appointed to investigate the break-in, all eyes and ears would have been on him. But Trump doing the same thing? Nobody bats an eye.

You probably missed this late yesterday, but Trump took to his social media platform to infer that Jack Smith was not who he said he was. So what do we have now, Birther II?

Smith grew up in New York State, went to college in New York, and to law school at Harvard. So what is Trump’s point? That he’s an artificial life form, cobbled together in a laboratory and Eric Holder and Barack Obama activated him for this mission?

I rather like the image of Obama as Dr. Frankenstein and Holder as his side kick, rattling around an old castle and cranking out Jack Smiths on an assembly line and aiming them at Donald Trump. I find it very entertaining, as a matter of fact. I wish Trump would elaborate.

He should know a lot about cyborgs, it’s been opined often enough that Melania is a robot. I think there’s a more compelling argument to be made for that, than to be made for Jack Smith being anything or anybody other than what his credentials prove him to be.

The takeaway is that Trump is scared to death of Jack Smith. Good.

  1. I thought the Presidential Records Act was to protect RECORDS. The orange jellyfish in Marmalado seems to think it protects presidents.

I do hope the smith will jack his fat carcase up and then hammer him flat.

  2. Gee. Another “perfect” telephone call. One would think former guy only makes “perfect” calls but unfortunately for him his business record indicates he not only does nothing perfectly, he has never even done anything well.

  3. We’ve had some presidents who were not statesmen, but THIS???
He’s either totally off the rails or just giving the country (the civilized part) the finger and he doesn’t give a damn.

  4. I don’t think tfg is the “stable genius” that he thinks he is because it doesn’t take a genius to realize the difference between “challenging the results” and CHANGING the results! Asking for the sec. of state to FIND votes so he could win is trying to change the results, not challenging the results!

  5. One should take a moment to recall the Frankenstein monster in light of your analogy, Ursula. By that, I mean put aside the Universal Monsters version and go back to the Mary Shelley original. The latter was brutal but no brute. He was methodical and careful when it came to exacting his revenge, sneaky enough to make sure no one saw him coming but everyone knew where he’d been. THAT’S Smith’s approach to prosecution.

    • Isn’t it wonderful how well Trump’s history is so simply stupid AND because of the simpleton’s huge repetition of same-oh, same-oh, that when he went for the jugular at our Capitol, his sing-song voice was very critically guilty of all charges to be leveled against him … It was devastatingly clear on his part exactly how deep he has dug his last few holes … So deep the DOJ is going to be forced to criminally charge him …

I see NO escape left for him … I would, however, like to know if he had forewarned Putin about the expensive cruise missle attack/show on a vacated airport …

Also, did he blab about the Seal’s attack plan as they were fed into a death trap … His loose lips have already been seen in action in the Oval Office …

He will whine and groan, but something tells me, the DOJ and the AG are tired of this blight on our Country …

  6. Good thing our legal system coddles rich, well connected, white criminals or he would have been arrested decades ago. Hard to point fingers at other countries until WE live up to Equal Justice Under Law.

    • Equal justice, justice for all, no one is above the law? All myths, lies each and every word, but that was the way America was built and remains built! America is BROKEN!

  7. I wish they still had public hangings. Trump snd his cohorts aka: Jordan, Cruz, Meadows, Brooks, Perry, Bannon, etc. Charge $100 per person to view. It would more likely take an entire state in North America to accomadate all the people willing to see this all happen. Can you imagine? Trump loves attention. This is one thing I believe people would be willing to pay to witness!!!!!
