Let’s start out with a quick poll: how many of you think it’s a good idea to trash the presiding judge who is going to decide your future, much less in the hallway while on break from the trial? I thought so. Nobody sane is going to behave this way. Before trial started this morning Donald Trump trashed the attorney general, Letitia James, and said, “You’re to go after her,” and then here’s what he said about Judge Arthur Engoron.

And here he is raging and complaining about the court clerk of all things. That’s a first.

Bradley Moss is entirely right. This is unique, except for Trump, to watch a criminal defendant claim that the judge should be accused of a crime or to complain about the court clerk, and needless to say the political allegations are hooey.

Trump also said that Letitia james is a “corrupt person” and a “terrible person.” Well, at least he didn’t call her a communist. Yet. Liz Harrington, one of Trump’s paid shills, called the judge a “commie” today. Talk about a flash back to the 50’s. Those were fighting words. You didn’t accuse anybody of being a commie unless you seriously wanted trouble.

I can’t wait until Judge Engoron hands down a verdict with damages in it, although first I hope he’ll consider a gag order. Trump is inciting MAGA to violence. There’s no other way to interpret this.

And for the nth time I mourn the fact that this case isn’t being televised. I guess we will have that privilege in the Georgia election racketeering case. Thank heavens for that. Trump will now give a bogus version of today’s proceedings to right-wing media and his MAGAs will swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Alina Habba isn’t Trump’s lawyer, she’s his lady-in-waiting. No lawyer would allow a defendant to behave like that. But again, and always, we deal with a man who has no regard for the rule of law and who advocated dissolving the Constitution. He’s literally running to run the government that he tried to overthrow when he ran it before because he’s running from the law.

Fantastic but true.

  1. When EVERYONE is required to obey the law or is punished forthwith, then perhaps we will have justice for all. This whole former guy shit-show is proof positive there are two justice systems and We the People are in the less than generous system.

They need to lock this f*cker up or WE need to revolt.

  2. Trump said all this is wrong because it is “interferring with an election”. I say it’s just the opposite. His insistance on using the 2024 election as his excuse is interferring with our country’s use of our justice system to try him for the laws he has broken.

  3. Well, Trump would have to get his two adult sons to get a combined IQ in double digits. Trump wanted to toss the constitution and do what he wanted. The thing is he was to stupid to think that far. The only reason he even had a business was the other morons working for him did it for him.
