This is a first. Primary candidates scuffle with one another, naturally. Hillary Clinton touted her experience over Barack Obama’s but she kept it within respectful limits because the truth of the matter is, that nobody knows who’s going to win a primary and you don’t want your opponent in the same party to be providing cannon fodder for attack ads. Party unity is crucial and in a sane world, the new president is supposed to bring the country together in unity, after the election dust settles.
But that was before the Trumpocalypse trashed our norms and sent us back to the stone age, speaking in terms of civility. Now the norm is monkeys throwing feces and cavemen bashing each others with clubs. Ron DeSantis stands accused — by Laura Loomer, just so you know how credible the source is — of doing mischief to Melania at the recent Iowa game. Trump ratified it, by posting it on Truth Social and in his Truth Social feed on X.

Now I have no idea whether this is DeSantis’ doing or not. Frankly, I don’t think he has the imagination and I don’t think he’s got the guts to antagonize Trump in this manner. But the MAGAs apparently believe it, and that’s the damage done. That’s the bullseye that Loomer was trying to hit. 
Loomer’s headline is “Ron DeSantis Harasses Melania Trump With ‘Missing Person’ Flyers At Iowa Football Game.” That’s pretty damning. Then she gets down and dirty. (I’m not posting a hot link. You want to give her traffic, that’s up to you.)
Though Ron DeSantis may have large corporate donors, his campaign continues to bleed cash, and support. His lackluster, gutless, and weak performance at the first Republican debate only cemented his status as the Jeb Bush of 2024.
His latest attempt to harass and intimidate the former First Lady only shows how desperate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has become in his quest to undermine the MAGA, America First movement. DeSantis has he abandoned the State of Florida, a state which is currently one massive hurricane away from a complete insurance market and housing collapse.
From the safety of the people of Florida, to the safety and privacy of former First Lady Melania Trump, Ron DeSantis has shown that he will do quite literally anything to become President. Unfortunately, for DeSanctimonious, all of the money in the world and all of Rupert Murdoch’s men couldn’t make Ron DeSantis likable again. He will never be able to afford the personality transplant he desperately needs, and he will never be able to regain the trust of the MAGA, pro-Trump base.
DeSantis destroyed his political career when he betrayed President Donald Trump, the man who is most responsible for DeSantis’s nail biter 2018 Gubernatorial victory in Florida. As DeSantis continues to spiral downward, we can only expect more of the classlessness of DeSantis and his wife to be amplified through vicious and pointless attacks against those who DeSantis perceives to be ‘in his way.’
Here’s a first. Loomer and I agree on something, that DeSantis is a menace to Florida and that he has no class.
Watch for the meltdown to continue. At the rate the GOP is going, they’ll make the China Syndrome look mundane, the way they’re managing to put themselves out of commission. Forget sinking to China, the GOP will wind up at the entry to the River Styx and the gates of Hell itself.
Melanie is the worst First Lady in my lifetime, lazy, dull, and not very bright. But compared to.Casey DeSantis, she’s a saint.
