The out of control child who would be the 47th president of these United States got into a contretemps with a federal judge this morning in the E. Jean Carroll case. U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan said, “Mr. Trump has the right to be present here.” Just calling him “Mr.” probably set Trumpty’s teeth on edge. “That right can be forfeited and it can be forfeited if he is disruptive, which what has been reported to me consists of. And if he disregards court orders, Mr. Trump, I hope I don’t have to consider excluding you from the trial,” U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan said Wednesday, according to CNN. And of course it got worse. The Hill:
“I understand you’re probably eager for me to do that,” the judge continued.
“I would love it,” Trump replied, according to several outlets.
“I know you would,” Kaplan said back. “You just can’t control yourself in this circumstance, apparently.”
“You can’t either,” Trump muttered, according to the Associated Press.
You believe that exchange? Trump has zero respect for the most basic of our institutions, the court system, yet he would be appointing judges to the highest benches we have.
The judge’s warning to Trump followed a complaint from Carroll’s lawyer that Trump disregarded orders from the judge to “keep his voice down” and had continued making comments about the case audible to jurors, including that the trial is a “witch hunt” and “con job.”
Earlier in the day, Trump had made comments insinuating that Carroll was lying about her assault and that she seemed to have “gotten her memory back,” according to Carroll lawyer Shawn Crowley.
And then Trump’s hired performative artist piqued the judge once again.
Habba will spin this later on Newsmax as the inhumanity of this judge. We don’t know, in all truth, whether Trump ever had a cup of coffee with his inlaws on a regular basis, but his relationship with his late mother-in-law (a person his own age, incidentally) is certainly being played up now to the hilt.

You know, maybe the judge might’ve considered a “pause” so Donald could attend Melania’s mother’s funeral if he’d shown any semblance of concern when she was so ill just a couple of weeks ago when, instead of being with Melania at her mother’s bedside, Trump was too busy enjoying the holidays at Mar-a-Lago (alongside Melania’s dad, as I recall).

Have his not so bright lawyers tried to explain to him that he is NOT on trial for sexual assault or anything else – he has already been found ‘guilty’ on that and all this case is how much the jury will tell him how much he is going to have to pay in damages (not overlooking having to pay the legal costs for the other side).

Melania posted about her mother’s passing. Trump did no such thing and did not allude to it until he needed time off from the court case, even though he did not need to be there. Strangely, he also organized a campaign event for the same day. He’s so loved his mother-in-law.
