It looks like the #BeBest couple are headed back to the bunker, this time to quarantine in the wake of news that presidential aide Hope Hicks has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Timing is everything in life, and this news flash, coming on the heels of Donald Trump’s impersonation of a rabid howler monkey on acid, at Tuesday night’s debate, and Melania’s exposure as the classless and clueless accomplice to Trump — via the secret tape recordings made by her former BFF Stephanie Wolkoff — make this quite a scenario. We do so hope that they enjoy being alone with one another, as we will surely enjoy it when they’re out of our house and into whatever house of ill repute will have them.
Hope Hicks accompanied Trump on Air Force One to his recent rallies on the Magic Superspreader Tour, because in Trump world, it can’t happen to you (whatever “it” is) if you have enough money. So they’ve all been hanging out maskless and cozy. Trump likes to mock masks and social distancing at his rallies, the “latest hoax” of the Democrats. Hoaxes can’t kill but stupidity can and if Hope Hicks was a) stupid enough to come back to work for Trump and b) stupid enough to be a COVID denier, then the hell with her. She deserves what she gets. Business Insider:
“Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!” he said.
This is the first time Trump would be quarantining following contact with someone who had the virus.
Hicks accompanied Trump aboard Air Force One to and from the first presidential debate on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Hicks also traveled with Trump and attended a Trump rally in Minnesota, CNN reported.
“I just went for a test and we’ll see what happens, I mean, who knows. … I spent a lot of time with Hope and so does the first lady, and she’s tremendous,” Trump said.
And it’s now being speculated that both Trump and Mike Pence could have the virus — which means that Nancy Pelosi should isolate so that we have some continuity of government. Sweet Jesus. Only in the final days of Trump world.

What is ironic is that Trump supporters had been predicting for weeks that fearful, senile Biden would “catch” COVID to cravenly get out of the debates. It may be they were just projecting again.
Remember, though…narcissism is called a disorder for a reason. Ergo, Trump would keep going on with his lying, if only on Twitter, if this was a genuine hoax. Pence has the mental agility to lie about his tests and stick to the cover story. Trump does not.

So now I will obsessively have a million questions. What happens next? Is the campaign on hold? What happens if he gets increasingly ill? How will this affect how people vote? Will he pull crap sitting alone with his G.D. phone?

Answer #1: no one has figured out the question of what exactly happens next in the last four years. Answer #2: Without Trump AND money, the campaign has little choice. Answer #3: he’s already been increasingly ill, so use that as your baseline. Answer #4: it won’t affect anybody’s vote by more than a few. Answer #5: you’re assuming him to be conscious enough to operate his phone.
My take: everything around Trump grinds to a halt until further notice.
