You all know by now that I’m very impressed with the work of the J6 committee so far. They’re trying people and events together with barbed wire. On opening night they laid out a chilling minute-by-minute timeline for the riot, and Trump’s inactivity.
In the second hearing, they laid bare and exposed once and for all The Big Lie, making it clear that everybody except Trump’s tailor had told him repeatedly that he had lost the election, and that there was no fraud. They even tied his activities to possibly obtaining illegal donations for a non existent defense fund.
Thursday they proved that not only did Trump know that he had lost, and there had been no voter fraud, but that pretty much every Trump lawyer other than his divorce lawyer repeatedly told that the things he was planning to do to try to overturn the election were both illegal as well as unconstitutional. And he kept going anyway.
So far, so good. But there’s still one major link yet to be made, and I’m looking forward to them doing it decisively. And that revelation could well lead to a whole rash of criminal prosecutions.
Yesterday I wrote an article in which I laid out the obvious connections between Trump’s Ellipse speech and the activity of the Loud Toys that day. Trump had an unruly mob, but no combat leadership. The Loud Toys had combat leadership, but not enough men to do the job by themselves. The film documentary director clearly laid out the obvious coordination that day.
But the problem is that Trump had to know that the Loud Toys were in position before he set his mob loose on the Capitol. And the Loud Toys had to know that the mob was primed and on the way to the Capitol before they launched their initial assault on the police lines.
Which means that there had to be communications and coordination. Remember, this isn’t some hare brained scheme that a bunch of Trump trolls dreamed up over brews on Saturday night, and a few days it went off like silk. We already know that Trump shitbirds like Bannon, Eastman, Navarro, and even his Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows had been throwing various whack-a-mole ideas for overturning the results ever since Biden was declared the winner. Witness the 60+ state and federal lawsuits they filed.
This operation was Trumpster’s Last Stand, nothing could be left to chance. There had to be coordination and communication between the Trumpista traitors and the Loud Toys and Oath Kreeper leadership, if for nothing else than to set up the basic timeline and logistics and timing for the operation.
I keep circling to that War Room that Bannon and Giuliani set up in that DC hotel the week before the electoral college count. It was staffed by mental deviants like Bannon, Eastman, and Navarro, and Roger Stone was a frequent visitor. They damn near install a switchboard for all of the calls flying back and forth, including from Meadow, and I believe Trump himself checked in occasionally.
To my eye, it’s a natural. After all, Bannon ran Trump’s campaign promising to deconstruct the US government. This would be right up his bomb throwing alley. And Eastman is so gung-ho, he’d strip to the waist, put on combat fatigues, and put a Rambo rag headband on before taking off for the Capitol if he thought it would help. Oddly enough, I don’t see Peter Navarro for this. He’s a strategist alright, but his baby was the Green Bay Sweep. As a constitutional scholar, he was more interested in at least quasi legal methods of overturning the results.
The wild card in this deck to keep your eye on is Roger Rabbit Stone. He’s a total flake, and we know he was making a pain in the ass of himself both at the White House as well as the war Room. The DOJ has stated that Stone was in contact with militia leaders in the days before the Capitol riot, and Stone had a militia escort when he walked to the capitol on January 6th. And Stone lives for this kind of limelight. If you’re even semi-intelligent conspiracy planners, and you’re looking for the Roslyn Village Idiot as a cut out for communications, Stone is your man.
Watch for this going forward. If/when that link is exposed, I feel that it might well be the biggest bombshell of the entire hearings. It will conclusively tie Trump directly to a criminal conspiracy to subvert a free and fair election, and block the peaceful transfer of power. And it will leave a whole lot of people with their asses hanging out on Seditious Conspiracy charges. Now, that’s entertainment!
