Trump launched. This is Trump’s end run around Twitter, designed by Campaign Nucleus, the brainchild of Brad Parscale — back in the days when he had a brain. If one thing is clear here, it’s that using social media propitiously during an election campaign is one thing, creating a social media platform is something else altogether.
In all truth, this platform of Trump’s is less sophisticated than PolitiZoom — could you die laughing? Because I assure you that I am. From the Desk Of Donald J. Trump is web-browser-based only, has no mobile app, and you can’t even post a comment. And Trump’s a billionaire with a media genius developer and webmaster and we stay in business by dancing for dimes. This is hysterical. New Civil Rights Movement:
A 30-second video posted to the site after the Fox News story broke heralds the site as a “beacon of freedom,” and a “place to speak freely and safely.” It begins with a clearly angry former president lashing out at the world, saying, “In a time of silence and lies.”
It ends with Trump’s Save America logo.
There is also a commerce page where supporters can still buy Trump’s merchandise, like a flag that says: “Don’t blame me I voted for Trump.”
Supporters can sign up to be “notified of when President Trump sends a message.”
I think the fact that the commerce page is functioning might say everything you need to know. Trump is now hawking bullet necklaces for Mother’s Day, and he’s got to sell a lot of them to start paying some of these legal bills.
The timing of this is very odd, to say the least. Tomorrow is when Facebook’s “supreme court” issues its decision whether to reinstate Trump. So, there’s two ways this could go: 1. He’s heard that he won’t get reinstated and then he can say, “Who cares? I’ve got my own media platform,” or 2. Facebook will reinstate him and then he can use Facebook to bring followers to Desk Of Trump.
It is astounding how this media “platform” just appeared and what a nothing burger it is. I can’t wait to see what the details are about this. This has all the earmarks of something screwy, the sudden appearance and the shoddy presentation. But the purpose of the platform is pretty clear. “Shop” is boxed and CONTRIBUTE is in red — and then repeated later down the page. Just give Donald Trump all your money and it he wants to tell you anything, you’ll get a message. That’s the bottom line.
He’s been taking too much advice from the Pillow guy. Birds of a feather.
Touche. Lindell said his site was going to be a big deal and he had nothing but technical hiccups from early on. And now Trump’s got this POS. One thing that is possibly going on, is nobody competent wants to work for these guys. So they’re not getting “the best people” to put these sites on the air. The results speak for themselves.
Just as lawyers that are any good learned, good/competent tech people know to ask for payment up front. Trump of course either doesn’t have even a partial fee or the willingness to pay it. So he’s stuck with the same kind of tech people he has for lawyers in his election challenge bullshit. He’s got the tech equivalents of Rudy G., Sydney Powell and Lin Wood!

I truly can’t fathom this. Why a message board, thrown together overnight? And why now? There’s something else going on here. We’ll find out in days to come.
