If you’ve been watching the January 6 Committee hearing you know that two life-long Republicans, both White House staffers, who perfectly fit the stereotype of WASP conservatism in appearance, were summoned to testify today.
Straight out of central casting came deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews and deputy national security advisor Matt Pottinger. Pottinger testified that he decided to quit on January 6. His opening remarks were how much he admired Donald Trump’s quote foreign policy achievements unquote, so I guess he’s looking to stay in good GOP graces, even after walking out on the Trump administration.
RawStory says “the official @HouseGOP Twitter account labeled Matthews “just another liar and pawn in Pelosi’s witch-hunt.” The tweet is deleted, I hope somebody got a screenshot.

Memo to the insurrectionists: the time for you to run like Soon-To-Be-Ex-Senator Hawley has passed. There is now nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. The people who you always feared now know who you are and likely where you are.
