Well, not without an airplane, we don’t mean that, but you recall that last week Rudy was far too sick to get into one of those flying metal carriages and go do his civic duty. (The airports of 1776 called planes “flying metal carriages” if you were wondering from whence I derive that particular aviation term of art. You’re welcome.)

Sadly I fear Rudy is closer to the truth of this matter than we want to admit – because HE and his conservative cronies have been working for a good four decades now to dumb America down to this point! I’m reminded of that awesome briefing room scene in The American President where Michael Douglas’ character states “America is advanced Democracy. You’ve got to want it bad, because it’s gonna put up a fight.”
You kind of have to wonder. Rudy not only obtained a law degree, he was also the mayor of NY. I’ve always speculated law degrees can be obtained from a of a box of Crackers Jacks and apparently the bar is pretty low if he got elected. Then I look at people getting elected to the senate: cotton, howler, daines, etc. These yahoos are being elected by people who probably cannot even read. Of course the cherry on the sunday of his argument is former guy.
I’d certainly agree with Rudy on the republican side of the ledger.
