RNC Is ‘Dime Store Front For A Terrorist Organization Called MAGA’

There has been for the last year, approximately, a Greek chorus in the background. They’ve been chanting softly, “The GOP is on its last legs.” If you read my work here regularly, you know that I have been saying for some time now that the Republican party is going the way of the Whig party, which preceded it. The Whig party was pro-slavery and moreover, pro-slavery expansion. That was what did it in. It became too extreme and too unpopular and it collapsed of its own weight. The Republican party rose from its ashes. Abraham Lincoln, as they love to tout, was the first Republican president.

Now the GOP is also collapsing of its own weight. Resignations of Republicans are constant now and from all that can be assessed mid-February, of this election year, 2024, they could continue. Capable and sane Republicans continue to jump ship and who knows who and what will be nominated and elected in their stead? Because the party is, as political scientist Jason Johnson puts it, “A dime store front for a terrorist organization called MAGA.”

And as both Charlie Sykes and Johnson quip here, Trump may ask one of his sons to become VP. Ivanka would do it in a heartbeat, but for the fact that she’s desperately trying to distance herself from Daddy.

She finally saw the handwriting on the wall on January 6 — or somebody pointed it out to her, more likely, and she deleted the tweet that characterized the rioters as “patriots” and didn’t show up back on Twitter for a very long time. Not until she could put together a photo op in Ukraine. Then she showed up, wearing no makeup. to give the appearance of being in a war zone, I guess, and told people of the plight of the Ukrainians. Maybe she could get on the phone and explain it to a couple of Republican senators?

Pay careful mind to what you see happening just in the next two months. The South Carolina Primary is scheduled for the 24th of this month. Super Tuesday is scheduled for March 5. Two things going to happen, for sure: Ronna McDaniel says she’s stepping down after South Carolina and Haley says she will do something definitive after Super Tuesday, depending on how she is polling.

McDaniel’s replacement at the RNC will be telling. That’s when we are looking at election denier Michael Whatley to become the co-chair along with Lara Trump as the other proposed co-chair. Or, it is possible that the 168 member RNC board will vote for other leaders. We don’t know. But what we do know is that the RNC has had a difficult time fundraising and once RNC is just the ones passing the MAGA collection plate, I tend to think that the money will dry up even worse.

As to Nikki Haley, we also don’t know how she will fare on Super Tuesday. The question with her, assuming she goes down in flames, which is what’s anticipated right now at this time, is “will she endorse Trump?” If she does, then she’s just one more Republican soldier that tried to become a general, failed, and decided to support the Fascist in Chief.

Or, more interestingly, maybe Haley will stick to her guns and not support Trump and thereby set herself up to become a leader in the New Conservative Something that is going to form from the splinters of the GOP.

Because the GOP, as an arm of MAGA, and with Trump leading the show, cannot stand. It cannot endure. It is a terrorist organization. It is a kakistocracy. And it is set up to lose the fourth election in a row, 2024.

And then it will collapse completely and something will happen. Nature abhors a vacuum. Conservatives will find a home somewhere, but it won’t be in the Republican/MAGA party. It will be in what’s left.
