I guess the Gentle Giganticallystoopidlady from Georgia felt the need to hit something. Anything. Well, maybe not herself but that’s of course exactly what she’s done.  This is one of those laugh-at-uncontrollably while simultaneously crying-with-sadness moments. Where Irony (and The Onion) look on in despair.

Yes, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is blasting her fellow Congress Critters, and I guess the rest of the folks in DC over the level of stupidity she sees around her. Maybe there are no mirrors where she lives? Or maybe she’s a vampire that’s able to withstand sunlight. (Vampires leave no reflection in mirrors, at least so the legend goes) In any case this article from Business Insider is a howler.  MTG is on record saying there are too many stupid people in Congress!

Ok, so in a case of a broken clock being correct twice a day she happens to be right but like I said, poor Irony has to be saying “WTF?” When it comes to the list of the most stupid people on Capitol Hill it’s debatable as to who’s the most so, but I can guarantee there’s actual bi-partisanship agreement that MTG is on everyone’s short list. That by the way includes the other stupid people in Congress. Still, MTG didn’t just make a quick comment as an aside to some journalist. Nope. She “let er rip” in a speech at a big conservative gathering:

The Georgia Republican unloaded on her fellow lawmakers during a speech in Arizona on Sunday. Greene was speaking at AmericaFest, an event organized by the conservative group Turning Point USA.

Margie says she’s sick and tired of Americans going broke because “stupid people” in DC make “horrible decisions.” She even complained about rich people getting richer while poor people getting poorer! Hmmmm. Anyone care to guess on how she’d vote on ANY piece of legislation to roll back her “hero” Trump’s tax cuts? Or for ANY new tax on rich folks? I don’t need to give you multiple guesses. (Unless you’re one of the conservatives who lurk here on PZ) Oh well. Marge is upset, and this isn’t the first time she’s ranted like this. It’s also noted in the linked article she’s not blaming it all on Democrats. She’s got plenty of criticism for her fellow GOPers too:

“Republican voters across the country are sick and tired of Republicans because they never do anything to hold this government accountable,” Greene told CNN’s Manu Raju.

“I feel like many of the American people that think that Republicans in Congress completely fail them. I feel the same way, and I’m a Republican member of Congress,” Greene added.

Okay, so she happens to be spot-on about Republicans. It’s that last sentence that’s really why I’m writing this. In her cluelessness MTG completely misses the point that SHE is a Republican member of Congress. That if she doesn’t like stupid people in Congress she can do her part to resolve the problem by resigning, going home and shutting the hell up!  Here’s an idea for you Margie: Be a true leader for positive change and get the hell out of politics.

I had trouble deciding on a title pic. I really like a meme in the media library with MTG as the Jewish Space Laser lady. But I think the one I chose is better. I’ve made unkind comments about Santos as well as Greene, including stuff along the lines about her not having a shot at Trump picking her for VP unless she “had some work done” if you catch my drift.

However just think of how, in the context of all this it could be captioned:

“Stupid people should get out? You first!”

“Before you complain about stupid people take a look at yourself”

That’s just off the top of my head. By all means comes up with your own captions. I’ll leave you with this. The “stoopid” in MTG is so intense one would thing it would burn so hot it would turn her into a pile of ashes. When it comes to stupid people walking around Capitol Hill, MTG complaining they’re there and there’s too many of them reminds me of a “It Burns” meme I saw in picture form. But I think the video of where it came from is better:

To be charitable, is this some sort of a start of self awareness?

Or is she just after this year’s irony award?

  2. Miss thing should talk about people getting richer in Congress. She wasn’t rich when she entered Congress. With a salary of less than $200,00 per year (excluding her PPP handout from taxpayers), how did she become a millionaire?! Self awareness is allergic to Republicans.
