This makes perfect sense when you think about it. What if you had a guy who was convicted of election fraud and who had made a movie about election fraud, fall for an obvious fraud? I mean, it’s got to be in the DNA, right, the inability to distinguish between reality and fraud? Or perhaps the burning desire not to?

Dinesh D’Souza got very perturbed at a “news” website. Apparently its tagline “unbounded by truth” was not enough of a giveaway that the thing was there for entertainment.

Hey, I know how he feels. I almost reacted to a piece by Andy Borowitz as though it was real, too. The piece was about Ben Carson looking for HUD in the Bible. As dumb as Carson is, I found it plausible. Carson is hard to parody, for that very reason. Or, maybe I’m as dumb as D’Souza, who knows?

Uh, yeah…that’s kinda the gag, Dinesh. Maybe Data or Mr. Spock can explain it to you. Or, better yet, ask your Pet Rock.

Here’s another example of this site’s humor. Is the satire too hidden?

How about this one?

Would it fly right over D’Souza’s head?

Is this something that could be mistaken for reality?

And while you’re laughing, you need to know that D’Souza will not be happy with you, so you better watch it. He got rip roaring mad when Bill Barr guffawed out loud over how stupid 2,000 Mules was.

I don’t think 2,000 Mules is anything to laugh at — but I do think 2001 Mules: A Space Cadet Odyssey is.

Them’s my two cents worth.

  1. I’m still looking for the underwear gnomes that have been stealing my cotton briefs for years. The fact I don’t wear any is no excuse.
